Yes, I would recommend this product
Before I get into the why, let me first say that if your on the fence about buying this machine, get it!
BUILD - I7-4770, 8gb ram, gtx 670, bluray.
Pros:
Size - This makes it easier to transport. Its a laptop with more power. Lans are awesome.
GPU+CPU - I mostly got it for gaming, but I also do music and video editing. Plays bioshock infinite on ultra with buttery smoothness. PhysX is freaking amazing. I can see the water droplets on his hands and guns!! Everything pre Battlefield 3 runs at like 200 FPS on max settings.
Ram - Hey its not the fastest but I have yet to notice lag of any kind. So who cares?
HDD - My last computer (M17x) has an SSD. I have ADHD so waiting is like nails on a chalkboard for my patience.
Cons: None for me
Had some trouble installing a few games and panicked. Thinking "Oh god dell that's it never again". By using google I found MacAfee interferes with some installations and after turning it off (temp) everything was back on track. Its a beast. This system is awesome. If you guys could somehow get liquid cooling or something. I mean this machine and the ability to overclock would break my bank. I would gladly give my right arm.

Title: Top Tier

Yes, I would recommend this product
Build: 2GB 7970m, i7-3630qm, 6GB ram, 32ssd cache + 500gb 7200 HDD, killer wireless
Pros:
GPU- I can finally run anygame on max without lag. (even GTA4 and BF3)
CPU and RAM - Great for gaming and video/music editing. Insanely fast!!!! I can open like 30 tabs in internet explorer and it doesnt even notice it.
Keyboard- I Like it over the m14x I had because its more a full size keyboard with the num pad.
The buttons on top that control the music, wifi, aliencommandcenter and eject button for dvd/bluray are not only good to have but add to overall "coolness" factor.
The light up keyboard and light around the trackpad is always a nice touch.
Lots of USB3.0 Ports VGA HDMI DP ESATA
Honestly doesnt get hot. The hottest I've seen it get to is 60C on the GPU and 68C on the CPU cores. This is after playing prototype2 for hours. and World of Tanks on max settings (with 50-80fps)
Cons:
I dont know what it is but the thing is a finger print magnet. I dont even know if theres a way to fix this but thats the only thing I can think of that I would even ask to improve.
Its heavy but not as bad as I expected. With the alienware 17" bag its not to much on my shoulders or back.
Overall: If you have the money get the 7970m card and your set. This thing is a mobile desktop! BUY IT !!
Pros:Gaming, movies, music / video editing, browing the internet, impressing peopleb

Title: Perfect

Yes, I would recommend this product
Its perfect.
Pros: Cool design, cool lights, play current games on high-ultra settings. I've played cs 1.6 and WoW. They barely register as games, meaning the cpu and gpu barely turn on for those games. Games like bf3, metro2033 are smooth as butter. GPU stays around 45-55 idling and up to 65 EXtreme gaming. CPU hasnt gone past 70 celcius yet gaming. Great for video and music encoding. Perfect size. I run it on "high performance mode" instead of "balanced" This automatically overclocks the cpu and gpu. My i7-3610qm runs at 3.1ghz-3.3ghz all the time and it has no affect on heat. The fans honestly havnt bothered me. I've had louder in the past. This is what I wished the m11x was. This is more powerful then my friends older alienware aurora DESKTOP.. hes jealous...Recommending this to all my friends. Cant talk about battery life as most of the time I will be plugged in.
Cons: The power cord is in the middle of the back. This is very annoying, next time please pick a side.. seriously. Didnt come with a mouse would have been nice. No extras like a game or anything but this is no fault of the computer.
This is my 4th Dell product and 2nd Alienware Product.
Pros:extreme gaming, browsing, video/music editing, video calling/chatting
