Title: holds it own pretty well, decent bang for the buck
Posted29 August 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
This is a very good laptop, and it's not a bad deal for the price it's listed at. The video card is powerful enough to handle medium gaming well, and might run some of the newer stuff on lower settings. The construction overall is great, I love the silicone. The laptop will get hot though (even though it is advertised and not supposing to), particularly when you do gaming. The keyboard is a bit limited, no home/end/pageup/pagedown keys. The keys are very soft but work fine. Screen is great, almost too bright. Speakers work great too for a laptop. battery life is really good too especially for a laptop this powerful. The machine is very long compared to its height. Very thin too, but a bit heavy still. I love that the disc drive is slot and not tray.
Overall, I am happy with this machine and would certainly recommend. I think Dell is moving in a great direction, and ultimately they'll have super thin and lightweight laptops that are super powerful and capable of high end gaming and processing. I took one star off for that the machine gets hot through the silicone bottom, and that it's a bit overpriced.
Pros:Gaming, general, school work

Title: Just another netbook
Posted22 June 2011
No, I do not recommend this product.
This thing is what it is, a netbook. If you need something to access the internet and run basic programs, it'll work for you. It works decently, but the processor holds multi-tasking back to a crawl. You're better off with just a small laptop, but if you truly need the portability, the Dell Mini1012 will work for you, it's among the better of the true netbooks.
