Yes, I would recommend this product
In my working career as manager of a corporate in-house advertising agency, we used only Dell computers. When I retired, I purchased a new Dell computer for my home use. Now, my newest Dell XPS 8500 is brand new. I've had it only one month. After getting past the initial setup including the transfer of all information from my almost 10 year old Dell computer, I've been very pleased in this first month and look forward to the many advantages of having my new Dell computer now and in the future.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I did not find the use of the Belkin Easy Transfer cable used with the Windows Easy Transfer process to be "easy". In the first place, when I purchased my new Dell computer, I did not need a new monitor, therefore, did not purchase one, but if you use the Belkin cable and the Windows Transfer process, you will need two monitors. Maybe I should have realized this in advance myself, but the Dell sales person did not comment on this when I purchased my computer and I had to borrow another monitor. Now, the main reason I say the process was NOT easy is that I was transferring over 60GB of information. I had many stops and starts, disconnects/attempting to reconnect. I first called Belkin Technical Support which was terrible. All they wanted to talk about was selling me a warranty. I then called Dell Technical Support. Each technician there was excellent, very courteous and helpful, but the whole transfer process was very frustrating and lengthy. All in all, it took me three days and many, many, many hours to transfer all of the information. At one point, when I had left the transfer to hopefully run overnight, the next morning it had been stopped/interrupted by Windows Automatic Updates which had rebooted my computer, so one needs to be sure to turn on Windows Updates before beginning the transfer. Rather than using the Belkin and Windows Transfer process, I would recommend that the information on one's old computer be backed up to an external hard drive or thumb drive and transferred from that source.
