Yes, I would recommend this product
I knew this computer was going to be great! I just did not know how awesome it was until I started to use it. I have had several high intensity CPU applications running and not a hint of degradation. The components are the latest, allowing me the availability to utilize USB 3.0 or Bluetooth 4.0. I am also not concerned if any new application will work with my computer. I know I have a computer that is well built and do what I need now, and into the future!

Yes, I would recommend this product
This is a great computer and I am very happy with it's multi-tasking capabilities. I can run several Adobe design software products simultaneously with no trouble at all. Can't even tell the computer is running it's so effortless! I would highly recommend the Dell XPS 8500. My last computer, a Dell XPS 400 went strong for nearly 8 years!!! The transition from the XP operating system to Windows 7 is a dream come true. (I am so glad I missed Vista!)
My only criticism would be that the computer came with MacAfee Security pre-installed and it I could not uninstall it without help from Dell support. It gave me some firewall issues as far as browsing the internet properly. I will say, however, that Dell support was incredible; friendly and efficient! Had my issues solved in less than an hour - all online! They even recommended a great program to keep my system running smoothly, eliminating spyware and other issues that may arise.
I would definately recommend this computer, and Dell in general, based on my own personal history with their products and support.

I needed a speedy reliable computer for our graphic arts dept and I needed it fast. We had a problem with our MAC and my art dept said once that thing goes they want to switch back to PC, specifically a Dell. I had it in their office in less than 48 hours. I need to order another Dell this week!

Blazing Fast iMac Smoker!

Yes, I would recommend this product
My main use for this machine is editing high definition video. After using an iMac and FCP, I got frustrated with the hours of time it was taking to transfer all my AVCHD files to Quicktime first, then having to do a time consuming second render just to preview the video so I could begin editing. Then, a third rendering process to create the master file and a fourth rendering process to create the final DVD. For a one hour project, this involves nearly 24 hours of rendering time!
The DELL XPS allows me to drop my AVCHD files directly into the VEGAS editing timeline and begin editing as soon as the files arer copied tot he hard drive (about four minutes for one hour of video). There is no secondary rendering process needed, so I can start editing in five minutes as opposed to five hours on the iMac.
The DELL blazes through the final DVD rendering in under an hour for a one hour program as opposed to nearly 16 hours for the iMac. Plus, I didn't have to convert my files three times, so the finished DVD looks better than the finished DVD on the iMac made from the exact same source files.
From start to finish, my one hour video DVD took over 24 hours on the iMac, and under two hours on the DELL XPS. I can pass that 22 hours of savings on to my clients in less cost to them,

Yes, I would recommend this product
I bought this computer for my son to replace his old Inspiron 530... The old computer did not have a good video card and was just that "old". He is so happy... all of the sites he visits and games that he plays is like "click and go".. No lagging anymore. Attaching usb cables to the tower is so simple... they are located on the top and are slightly slanted for easy connection... no more hurting my neck to get a usb plugged in. I am very happy with this computer... My son is ecstatic! I have the old one... :o( lol Thanks Dell... great computer and quick ship!

I'll make this short and sweet. The xps 8500 is tons better than our old system. It's just as described/expected. Customer service was stellar! Had a couple hiccups with my payment &the delivery. They handled everything fast & professionally. Definitely recommend

I am delighted with my Dell computer purchases X 2 over the past month! I needed an new computer for my scrapbook store to make custom scrapbook papers for my customers. My poor old computer was dying and could no longer keep up. I emailed Dell and they figured out a system that would completely meet my needs and my budget! It was shipped in a timely manner and I am delighted to say it is fabulous!
I also a week later had to replace a tower for my daughter and sent them all the info I could pull off her old computer as to our needs. I am extremely computer challanged and was fearful of not getting the 'right thing". Again, customer service talked me right through the proces, found ecxacty what she needed and made the price work for my budget! Customer service to me is extremely important #1 and being a business owner myself, I know first hand how difficult if not impossible it is to FIND good quality customer servcie! I know I will be well supported with Dell and their fine staff! I highly recommend their company and products to all!

I have an XPS laptop computer and I love it. I needed a desktop at home, so I bought an XPS with a 1TB Hard Drive. The speed on both computers is unbelievable. I use them for personnal use and my son plays his games and listens to his music. We also watch TV on them. I have a webcam for both and it is great. Both of my Dell XPS computers were the best investments I ever made. I would definetly recommend these computers to anyone who needed a new one.

I have been purchasing Dell computers for my home and business for well over ten years now. I am only a couple of months into my newest purchase of XPS 8500 3rd Gen Intel® Core™ processor desktop and I am very happy with it. Also, I received excellent support from Dell Customer Care. One of my packages was shipped back and Dell Customer care immediately shipped another one. Outstanding follow up.
Unless you are able to and have time to build your own computer, Dell.com is the way to go. You’ll also get very reasonable prices if you sign up for their emails and patiently follow their sales.

This Dell XPS 8500 is a great system - I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the machine, as well as it's overall performance. This is not my first XPS, so when I purchased this PC, I had a certain expectation about what I would be getting - and it was exceeded.
The base configuration, while not optimized for gaming on a 27" or 30" monitor, is just fine for most HD monitors at 1080 resolution. With plenty of RAM and a decent video card, the machine is snappy in every day tasks and has done a great job for me with video encoding and gaming as well.
One thing that I wish was different? The glossy front panel is an absolute magnet for dust, pet hair, and fingerprints. But this is relatively minor, and definitely not worth deducting any stars for.
If you need a system with enough power for now, and one that won't be groaning under a load in a year or two, this is a great place to start. Highly recommended!

Dell has always been great about combining the right parts to make the best pc for the price. Dell has out done itself with this. Its perfect, nothing more to say. Been dreaming about a gaming pc with this kind of performance, I waited and waited, until that shining moment of Dell's homepage with the XPS8500.
Computer with this much power, puts off almost no heat. I run it 15 hours a day and most of the time it is Diablo III. Full blast gaming.

It is very fast beyond my expectation. Nice build with the entire peripheral connections easily accessible. I expect also this to be as problem free as my old Dimension 8200 which is still running to date.
