Great business class system

PostedNovember 12, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
We have started converting all of our machines over from scratch built boxes to pre-built OptiPlex's. As an IT professional I cannot stress how important standardization is for our infrastructure. These OptiPlex's are pretty much what I have come to expect from Dell's business line; simple, quiet, and easy to maintain. I know that if I have an issue with our new 3010's (and I have not yet had any) I can easily fix whatever is going on, even after the warranty period. The default of Win7 Home is indeed odd, but since I am customizing my machines anyway, who cares? Win7 Home >can< be used in a small business environment; not every business needs a domain. But the cost increase to Win7 Pro is negligible, so I don't blame them for listing Win7 Home as the default. All in all, the 3010 is a solid, robust yet simple machine. The ability for the onboard video to handle dual monitors is a huge plus as well.

Bought this to replace my 9 year old Dimension that is slowing dying. I am a HUGE believer in Dell products and the Optiplex 3010 is a GREAT system. Truly easy set up - plug and play. And this configuration is FAST FAST FAST.......cannot say enough good things about Dell. Did not even consider another brand.

Optiplex 3010 Desktop

PostedDecember 19, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
We recently replaced seven of our Vostro 200 Desktops with the Optiplex 3010 units for our medical office. I was pleasantly suprised with the look and feel of the units. The size of the CPU (Desktop) allows it to be tucked behind a monitor to maximize desk work area. The units run quiet and so far have posed no problems.
My only detraction so far is that the drive tray for the DVD RW drive looks and feels a bit flimsy. There is a lot of play (ie. wiggle) when the tray is extended. We have not had an issue with any of the drive trays so far and they probably will work fine. They just seem rather fragile.
With all things considered, we are very happy with the units and would purchase them again.
Pros:office, emr

SX 10 Tablet

PostedSeptember 16, 2013
No, I do not recommend this product.
First of all, the tablet arrived without any paperwork to help with the setup, problems trying to download, then I found out it would not act as an Android another problem I found was that the USB port is a micro port and I could not use my the regular USB flash drive cards that I have, how am I suppose to get information from my computer into the tablet...when I contacted help they were not help!!! If I can not use this as I expected I believe that I will return it.
Disappointed that it didn't come with a case for protection.
I would not recommend this to anyone.
Pros:size
Cons:slow micro port useless and no protection at all.
Response from Dell.comBy JonathanNforDellCustomer ReviewsSeptember 17, 2013
Hello pab0457,

Thank you for taking the time to post your experiences with the XPS 10 tablet! I am sorry that your initial impression of the tablet was not a great one. This tablet does indeed run Windows RT and there are apps on the front page that direct you to Dell help on the product. Also, the tablet ships with a MicroUSB-to-USB adapter (unless you also purchased the keyboard dock). I would check the box again and see if this will help you connect your USB memory device. Feel free to reach out to our @DellCares teams on Twitter and Facebook, if you need any further assistance with your order:
