At first when I bought my Dell 7 Streak I really liked it, It had a quick web browser, tons of fun apps to play with. But after about a month things started to fail, a 1inch bar on the touch screen stopped working, and 2 months after I bought the Dell 7 Streak it completely crash and now will do nothing, but start up get to the unlock screen then restart. This will loop until the battery dies. Nothing fixes it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Dell Streak is a waste of money
PostedSeptember 14, 2012
No, I do not recommend this product.
I knew I was buying a device with less functionality than an iPad but the quality issues with the Dell Streak 7 have been simply frustrating.
The device works fine when it's on, but it hangs up every other day without warning and the only way to reset it is to push the "reset" button with a sharp pin or wait for the battery to drain out and then charge and reboot.
I like the price but not much else.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Bought this junk tablet for my daughter 3 months ago, failed to turn on 5 times in the last 3 months, had to let the battery drained out for 48 hrs before it could recharged again and turn on, happened again today and wonder if it ever turn on again, I had pushed the reset button but did not work. Will never buy a Dell product again.

Love my Streak

Yes, I would recommend this product
I bought this with a laptop purchase. I needed something to have by the bedside at night. My phone is too small and the new laptop was going to be way too big. I got the Streak as a package with the laptop so the price was just right. I find I use the streak everywhere in the house. I also bring it with me to mobile vend at horseshows I use it to show customers my custom products, its just a great handy tool to have around. I likely spend more money online with it because I can shop anywhere. I haven't had any issues with the battery, but I don't play games on it at all.
Pros:surf the net, check email, watch tv/videos

Love The Streak

I work for Dell - purchased the Streak 7 for my son, but now want one for myself. He loves it for the games and for the Android apps and it has been very helpful for some homework assignments when he is not at home and needs quick access to the internet. He also loves it as a reader. I ordered another for myself, then gave it to my nephew who saw it while he was visiting and wanted one. So for now I share with my son, but will be purchasing a third soon, maybe a Christmas present for myself. We have had no issues so far.

Dell Streak vs Kindle Fire
PostedNovember 27, 2011
No, I do not recommend this product.
First the Dell Streak's battery runs down way to quickly. I think Dell should have worked on improved battery performance before they released the streak. I now own a Kindle Fire and their is no comparison to what I can do with the Fire versus the Streak. The streak does not offer the ECO system that Amazon can offer for the Fire such as movies, music, books, free cloud storage etc...
Pros: Android Cons: Battery and no ECO system like with Amazon Kindle Fire.

Dell Streak 7 Wifi Android Tablet
PostedNovember 25, 2011
Yes, I would recommend this product
At 1st, I had to replace my 1st tablet due to a technical difficulty and with Dell excellent customer service , they replaced it with another one right away in a matter of few days. This Tablet, It even works faster than my computer and I love the mobility and the 7" size which is not too small nor too big. After upgrading it to 3.2 version(Honycomb), I love the set up the way I enjoy my own set up, with excellent display and extrimly fast respond. The sound quality actualy surprised me for such a small device including all applications that comes with it or can be downloaded free thru android market. I am pleased with this last purchase from Dell specially for the price and as always with their excellent customer service that is available to me without waiting or delay. I have purchase this tablet after conducting extensive research and actual seeeing different tablets. once again, I made the righ choice by buying the 7" strak 7 Dell tablet. Anyone who is considering purchasing one, I suggest take a look at Dell Streak 7 Wifi Tablet.
Pros:use it every day, games music videos, use communication tools e-mails, creating my own hd videos, straming live news & video, wish the battery would last longer, set up family picturs/album

Thank God for Honeycomb!!

When I first got this device it was running Froyo, and it was abysmal. Took forever just to load the home screen from sleep mode. But now that I've updated to Honeycomb no delay at all. I've given it a 6 however due to an issue I've had off and on. Periodically it just will not power on, or take a charge. The only fix I've found is a hardware reset. It works, but this shouldn't be something I have to do on a regular basis

I had this tablet all of 25 days and it locked up. After being on hold for 30 minutes the rep told me to push a pin into a hole and reset it. The battery last only about 3 hours of use. It will last all day if you do not use it though. Hardware is well thought out and made just seems like it was thrown together. and does not do anything well.

Total Junk

I bought the dell streak because I am a fan of the andriod OS, however the streak 7 leaves MUCH to be desired in the form of operability and ease of use.
After the update to the tablet from dell, the list apps button ceased to function is one issue we had that could not be resolved, second was the unit would have issues where it would not power on every so often.
If you're looking for a good tablet do not get the streak instead go with just about anything else. Plus all the support is from people in india which you can hardly understand. Do yourself a favor and dude, don't by a dell streak.

I have had my tablet for a couple months. Quite honestly, I was VERY disappointed with it's performance when it was running Froyo. Most of the tasks I wanted to accomplish on Froyo, I was not able to do. Now that I have upgraded to Honeycomb, I am very pleased with the performance and the ability to do most tasks. I deduct a start because there is NO reason that Dell should have put this out with such low screen resolution

I regret making the investment into this device. I have had nothing but problems using it since I got it as far as the phone and connection goes. And it takes a lifetime to get a connection...when you are able to get one online as well. I feel like I paid for a useless device for my usage.

I regret purchasing Dell Streak 7
PostedOctober 20, 2011
No, I do not recommend this product.
I purchased the Dell Streak 7 back in March 2011. I thought it would be good because Samsung had a worse reputation about Android updates. Even though the screen resolution was worse than the Galaxy Tab, and the battery life was much worse, I thought the support would be better.
I have been adequately happy with the Streak 7, but then when they decided to update the Android OS to 3.2 on all the Streak 7s NOT locked to T-Mobile, that really tore it for me.
Plus, the charging cable, which of course is not covered by warranty, has started to wear out at the proprietary connector side and I'll be having to buy a new one of those, but only from Dell or T-Mobile because it doesn't use a standard connector.
The Dell Streak 7 combines clumbsy design with consumer obstacles. This product is not worth the aggrevation.
Pros: tablet running Android. expandable memory with SD card.
Cons: poor battery life, Dell has basically abandonned the T-Mobile devices; the apps won't move to the removeable SD card, only to the Internal SD card; the proprietary data / charger cable; screen resolution is below nearly all the other tablet computers out there; Streak 7 can't be used as a phone (except if one hops through a bunch of SIP / VoIP hoops).

Dell Streak 7 + Honeycomb = Great Success

Yes, I would recommend this product
I just recently got my Dell Streak 7 and the first thing I did was upgraded to 3.2 Honeycomb. I can tell you the stock OS is nothing to call home about. It was sluggish switching between screens, and the graphics were not good at all. After the Honeycomb update, this is an amazing little tablet with some real firepower behind it. I will say I wish the battery life was better, but I can't complain! I got this so I don't have to carry around my laptop everywhere, and the iPads are just too big for my tastes. Anywho, I enjoy this thing very much and would totally recommend it (As long as you update to Honeycomb!).

No support for T-Mobile buyers
PostedOctober 18, 2011
No, I do not recommend this product.
The biggest negative is that even with Honeycomb on the new tablets the tiny resolution still falls behind that of almost ever other tablet. Whats more sad though is Dell's business practices of late. They have dropped every and all support for the T-mobile version, and the customer service isn't worth your time.
"Thank you to all of the early adopters and supporters of the Dell Streak. We appreciate your continued feedback and look forward to hearing your thoughts on the update."

GREAT BUT MISSING SOMETHING!!!
PostedOctober 16, 2011
Yes, I would recommend this product
I just got this product yesterday and I'm pretty impressed with its BUILT QUALITY. It's so simple/straight forward to use, I DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO LOOK AT THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL TO FIGURE THIS THING OUT. I didn't notice much of the bloat ware you expect from other manufacturers too which is always a plus. I also love the fact that Dell decided to go with mainstream NVIDIA Tegra processor which pretty much puts this tablet in the league of all the other high end small screen tablets out there (Acer A100, HTC Flyer). An UPGRADE to an even better tablet operating system (Honeycomb) is a no brainer.
The only factor I wished Dell put more love into besides the "DATED O.S." is the LOW screen resolution. I would have expected something a bit higher since all the other aforementioned small screen tablets have something better than this at the same price point. Acer's A100 is burdened with similar screen viewing issues but it makes do with a decent screen resolution.
DELL THE ONLY HOPE TO MAKE ME WANT TO KEEP THIS PRODUCT, IS TO HAVE THE NEW HONEYCOMB O.S. FINALLY INSTALLED. THIS WOULD MAKE THIS TABLET A TOTAL PACKAGE. YOUR WEBSITE INDICATED THAT THERE WILL BE A PUSH NOTIFICATION OF THE UPGRADE SOFTWARE...WHEN WILL THIS HAPPEN? I WAS HOPING I CAN GET THAT UPGRADE THE MOMENT I SET UP THIS TABLET BUT THE "SYSTEM UPDATE" KEEPS SAYING THAT THERE'S NO UPDATES AVAILABLE. PLEASE PLEASE GET THIS UPDATE OUT!!!!!.
Pros:Travel, web browsing, video streaming, Gaming
I've had my Streak 7 for about 4 months now. I use it extensively and have had NO problems. I also own several other Sell systems and customer support has been excellent. The Streak is small, light and easy to use. I'm even writing this review months Streak! Eagerly anticipating the 3.2 upgrade.
Pros:web browsing, development, several favorite apps
