No, I do not recommend this product.
I had this laptop for about three years and I never regretted buying anything more!
After exactly one year (the warranty is over) it started to have problems!
- The battery died almost immediately. I can never use it without the cable attached unless I have a 15-20 minutes task to do
- It's incredibly slow. I formatted it a few times and deleted all the heavy programs. I tried everything to speed it up. Nothing worked! It literally freezes for a few seconds after almost every click! and I only use it for very simple daily tasks. I don't download or play games.. Videos play very badly.
A colleague of mine has exactly the same laptop said the same thing, that's when I gave up on trying to make it work faster. It's just rubbish and it's not cheap either..
- The price shown on the main screen is not it. You'll have to add other necessary stuff so it will end up almost twice as much.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I brought my inspiron 1545r about 2 years ago now complete with windows 7, 4gb ram and an Intel pentium processor. I have got to say for the first year i had this laptop I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting much for the price. Like the add says, for every day computing, however if you are into gaming like me, this isn't fast enough,now I wish I had got a faster processor and a graphics card as the Intel accelerator just isn't sufficient. However I cant fault it for build quality and reliability, I have dropped it countless times and its still here today. So overall if you are getting a laptop just for the internet and word processing this is the one for you.

No, I do not recommend this product.
A week after getting this laptop it was already freezing up and not getting past the dell logo screen. I contacted the support team and they never completely fixed the problem and it kept happening. Now my laptop completely stays frozen and I cant use it. It has been the worst laptop I have owned.

Yes, I would recommend this product
We have had the Inspiron 1545 for three years now and have no problems. Everything plugs and plays we upgraded to Windows 7 with no difficulties and have been very pleased over all with the machine.
