Yes, I would recommend this product
Trivial to plug in, get a dial-tone, and make your first call!
Later, during registration, after picking area code 613, it just gave me a "city code" dropdown containing 3-digit (prefix) numbers, but no city names. Picking one was hit and miss, since I didn't recognize any as Ottawa numbers. If you choose wrong, you might end up with a number that is local to a different city...area code 613 is massively large! You can change it later online, after you do some research with a phone book, but it doesn't allow much flexibility choosing the number. It also doesn't allow you to port your existing home phone # in.

Call quality is usually very good, but have experienced cutting out on a few calls (one time it was effectively unusable).

No, I do not recommend this product.
PROS
I puchased it through Dell who paid for the return shipping and promptly refunded my money!

CONS
I "fired my phone company" only to find out that NET TALK has very few area codes and numbers in Canada. In fact, I live in a 519 area code and they wanted to give me a Toronto number. When I asked how to resolve the problem, they sent me a survey to complete. When I asked again, they could only say "sorry".

Yes, I would recommend this product
Very straigh-forward to set it up. It works right away. I chose Ottawa as my location. I was able to pick up a number that I liked online once completing my registration.
It works well with my 2Wire DSL modem, and Primus is my ISP.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Pros
Very good price to buy. Unlimited calling to Canada and US for a very good price. Pay one price for the year and forget about monthly bills. Clear and easy to use. Works excellent with D-Link 615 wireless router.
Cons
I cannot currently get a local number to my area. Supposed to be getting new numbers all of the time but for now I have to wait. Just make sure you check availability of your local number before you buy. Does not make a difference calling out only if someone is calling you.
