Just the part I needed.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Pro: immediately fixed the problem and has not introduced any new problems.
Con: a bit of a pain to install
Symptoms: screen goes blank occassionally and comes back when move the screen a little. Happened more often over time.
Root cause: cable connecting the main laptop to the screen had a short in it.
Fix: Bought new screen connector cable. Sort of a pain to install. Works good as new again.
Pros:software development, video and music, all entertainment
