Dell 1505 802.11 Drant n WLAN Mini-Card

PostedApril 23, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
Purchased this card to get my older Vostro 1000 modified for draft n use, (came originally with 1395 802.11b/g card installed). Installation was easy following the Vostro manual. Requires you to remove the keyboard to access the old card, but not difficult if you take your time. New card works great and sped my system up significantly!
Pros:home use

What a huge difference wireless n made for my Vostro 1000
The install was difficult unless you read up about where it is located and how to install the card.
Well worth the money: went from 54kps to avg. 175kps sometimes over 200kps connection speed.
Pros:wireless home network

Great WLAN Mini-Card- Just no CD or Decal Included

PostedNovember 17, 2010
Yes, I would recommend this product
I needed a Wireless 1505 802.11 Draft-n WLAN Mini-Card for a Dell Latitude D630 that only came with a 802.11 b/g Card originally. It's a bummer this card is refurbished- but Dell's quality is usually top-notch.
I ordered and received the card quickly- Big Bummer... no CD or Decal for the bottom of the Latitude D630. I literally spent $50 for the card, and got the card in a little plastic envelope in a mailing envelope- that's it.
When I called Dell, they said they don't include driver CD's or the Decal- SO BUYER BEWARE! When I asked to send it back they refused... I guess that's customer service they're taught in India!
Pros:software development, email, programming

Works As Advertised

For my Inspiron 1526, it was a very easy install. Popped off the RAM cover, took out the old card, stuck the new one in and reconnected the antenni. The transfer speed is decent but keep in mind your other devices must also be using Wireless N and MIMO if you expect distance.
