The PERFECT ADDITION for an upgrade

Yes, I would recommend this product
I bought a Precision 690 workstation to use as a new photo/video editor for my business; and as usual for me it was UPGRADE time. System is dual core, dual processor capable so of course I had to add a 2nd chip. Well a second chip always requires a 2nd heatsink so researching here I come. Looked on Amazon, Ebay, and Dell and Dell came in at the lowest price with fastest shipping and was GUARANTEED to be the right part. Everything I found on Ebay was either more expensive or looked like it was short in height compared to this one. When you're running a dual core 3 Ghz chip you want all the cooling surface you can get and this one definitely fits the bill. The heatsink copper surface is quite large, well machined, and even came with a layer/sheet of paste already on it completely ready to install. If I ever build another one of these machines I will absolutely be ordering another one or 2 from Dell vs trying to find them elsewhere.

Better That Original Heatsink

Yes, I would recommend this product
For one, I couldn't believe Dell had the cheapest price by far on the heatsink. I received it in about 4 days which was quite fast. The design on this is better than what was original on my machine. The copper contact with the CPU is rectangular while the original that came with machine is rectangular but diagonally place which means less surface for heat absorption. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product, buying experience and shipping.
