Yes, I would recommend this product
I have a Sony Vaio laptop with a i5 2.6ghz processor running on a 64 bit OS. PowerDirector runs very fast on my machine and is able to even leverage my GeForce video card to process my videos much faster. What used to take me hours or more with Premiere Elements is now taking me about half the amount of time with PowerDirector. Here are some other pros and cons:
pros: Content aware editing. This feature is awesome. It tags important spots (faces, zoom, pan) in the video automatically for me to really speed up the editing process.
cons: nothing so far. A Mac version would be nice since my daughter uses a iMac at home.
