No, I do not recommend this product.
I BOUGHT THE WIN8 PRO UPGRADE,BECAUSE I HAVE A PC & A LAPTOP. I GOT THE EXPENSIVE ONE,UPGRADED MY PC ALL WENT GREAT,NEXT DAY UPGRADED MY LAPTOP ALL GOOD UNTIL ACTIVATION TIME,CAN NOT USED THE SAME PRODUCT KEY,CAN NOT GET JUST THE PRODUCT KEY,HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER UPGRADE.NOW I HAVE TO SPEND TIME HOPEFULLY GETTING MY LAPTOP BACK TO WIN7 AND LOSING SOME FILES IN THE PROCESS. WIN 8 PRO UPGRADE IS A BIG RIP OFF,IF YOU HAVE MORE THEN ONE COMPUTER.
Cons:never will recommend to anyone.

A lot packed in a small package

Windows 8 is built on the Windows 7 core, which is great, stable and all around robust. While the Metro desktop push has innovated the look of the product, I have yet to see any true benefits from it using a non-touchscreen pc.
I purchased this product after realizing that my new Dell pc came with Windows 8, not Windows 8 Pro, which is needed to use my free (via Microsoft) media center upgrade.
Pros:main operating system, media intake, development and deployment

Better than expected

The review saying this is the upgrade is correct, however that doesn't warrant a 1 star rating for the product. It installed very easy without a problem, everything I had with Windows 7 is still there and still works. It takes a little time to get used to but it's not as bad as some reviews are saying, it's actually pretty easy once you get used to it. It works just fine with a mouse and keyboard, so if that is scaring you away don't worry about it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
3UR-00001 is the upgrade version. You gotta say it, Dell. This is not $130 off the retail price.

Windows 8 - Incredible

I am both a PC and Mac user, and have been using Windows 8 since it's first beta. Microsoft has hit the nail on the head and perfected the user experience with an operating system that's going to work well and leave the user feeling good!
Windows 8 performs very well, fast and is provides a UI that is intuitive...this is a great combination and is going to give Windows users something to be excited about once again!
The learning curve is a little steep at first but within a few days users will be flying around making full use of the OS with no difficulties or confusion!
