Does not download to non Dell products

No, I do not recommend this product.
I bought the download version of the product and attempted to install it. I was unable to because the "Dell Download Locker" requires a service tag number from a Dell computer to register the purchase. I have an HP and would have appreciated a disclaimer that it wouldn't work on anything but a Dell. The order cancellation was difficult as well. I will never place an order with Dell again!!!

easy download, tricky install

Yes, I would recommend this product
I installed this product on two computers. I found with both that I had to install it twice even though I already had a version on my computer which had just expired. if you download and install once you may have the trouble I had. just restart and install it again and then it works just fine and great. you can log in and it extends your account for a year.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I'm not upset with the McAfee bit of this experience. McAfee customer support was great, and they were the ones who ultimately fixed the download. But from the beginning we had problems with Dell's downloadable McAfee software. The download failed repeatedly, and the emails from customer service were frustrating and repetitive. I finally gave up on them and contacted McAfee to see what they could do. Their customer support had to take remote control of my computer and remove the product that Dell had installed because it was corrupted (on BOTH of the laptops we tried the install on). We downloaded the product again from the McAfee website using the product key, and we FINALLY have working antivirus software a full week after starting this process. I don't plan on using the digital download process again from Dell.
