Best Slideshows Ever

Yes, I would recommend this product
I have used Power Director for family slideshows and videos for years with wonderful results. People who view the slideshows are amazed that I can combine still photographs with videos. They love the transitions between each photo. It is easy to use and one of my favorite software products that makes an amatuer look professional.

Lousy tech support

No, I do not recommend this product.
I have used Power Director 8 for years but after buying a hi def camera and new computer I decided it was time to upgrade to Power Director 10 Ultra. While on the surface it appears to be good software it just does not cut the mustard when it comes to Hi Def Videos. It takes outstanding quality videos and turns them into unacceptable videos. Have gone around now for weeks with their supposed tech support who speak and understand limited English. I have downloaded them original files as well as those same files loaded into PD10 and they are suppose to be doing testing in their R&D lab but more than a week has gone by and not a word on a solution. I am sorry but the software as it currently exists is not capable of producing high quality AVCHD videos. I was so looking forward to making great new videos with my new Dell 8500 and Power Director 10 Ultra, the Dell part is great, the software is a failure.

Yes, I would recommend this product
First, the negative. I have noticed that if you run windows 7 aero theme, you will need to turn it off, as with it on, some video formats show as a green screen when previewing your project. Other than that, it is one of the best consumer video editors on the market in my opinion. If your looking to make a home movie in a high quality format, then you can't go wrong with Cyberlink.
