Title:

A great mirrorless system

Yes, I would recommend this product
I am a fine art photographer which includes landscapes and wanted a smaller camera to pack around on my hikes. I employ a Canon 5D MKII with all the heavy L lenses which is amazingly heavy! After an exhaustive review of the mirroless cameras on the market, I chose the Nex 7 for the following reasons:
-obviously a smaller camera, but actually seems the biggest of all the mirrorless systems. It actually is small enough yet big enough to fit in my hand comfortably.
-exceptional photo quality with an APS-C sensor. A lot of megapixels with great resolution on cropping!
-fairly intuitive, but depends on who you talk to and if you use it on manual.
-awesome fun panoramic function!
-great electronic view finder! excellent resoluition!
-a pop out LCD screen, very nice!
Things that could improve
-low light shots take forever to process!
-lense selection, I could get an adaptor to use my canon lenses, but defeats the purpose of portability!
-the video button is too easy to hit on accident!
Overall, it is an amazing camera and solves my portability problem. It is not a full frame sensor like my big and heavy canon 5D MKII system but I find that I do not need that much muscle most of the time, plus the best camera is the one you have with you! I bought the 18-200 lense and have had awesome success with it! It is a bit bulky but it is all relative. It stays on the camera since it has useful focal lengths within the realm I shoot in with great results. For a semi-pro photographer that wants quality sharp photos, you cant go wrong with this camera! It truly is amazing and I find that my Canon stays in the car or at home alot now!
