Yes, I would recommend this product
Pros:
I would recommend Netgear ready-nas for any small business that needs to protect it data with offsite storage. Setting up an account with ready-NAS vault allows for an easy off site storage.
Backing up of the files and system is easy. The NAS can be backed up to a location on the NAS, to a USB hard drive or you can do an online backup to Ready/NAS Vault Backup Services. Also with the touch of a button you can back up your NAs to a USB drive connected to the NAS when the backup is finished it will send you an e-mail
You can also plug in a printer using one of the 3 USB ports and have a network printer saving you from buying extra printers or the cost of extra ink cartridges.
I upgraded from the 3 TB to 6 TB and the NAS rebuilt the raid array with no problems or needed intervention from me sent me an email when it was finished.
The software also supports power timer so you can turn the NAS on and off at specific times to save on power cost and extend drive life.
With the Netgear NAS you’re PS3, XBOX 360, or other media device will no longer need your PC or Mac to be powered on to stream media files. The Duo has streaming services designed to work with just about any major streaming devices.
You can also set quotas for disk usage for other member of the family. To keep the kids from filling the drive with unwanted files
Cons:
The only cons I can find are 1) It can be noisy while the drives are writing in a quiet room. Once I have the TV on and other things going in my office I do not notice the drive at all. 2) Once the volume was done the NAS make almost no noise at all.
Pros:treamining movies video, data backup, sharing files with other computer
