If your looking for a great DSLR Stop Shopping

PostedMarch 21, 2013
Yes, I would recommend this product
I spent a year looking for a replacement for my Sony A100, tried and handled every DSLR available in all price ranges. I found the Nikon D7000 and I was sold. The camera has more features than I will ever use but it has 2 sd card ports which is great for shooting raw and jpeg at the same time. The biggest seller for me is the variety of lenses available and the reasonable cost for a good quality lens. With the Sony I was using slow Maxxum lenses and to step up to a Sony lens would break the bank. The feel of the D7000 is much better than any of the Cannons I reviewed which in my opinion are over rated. Dell service is great and financing is easy.
Thanks
Pros:sharp crystal clear shots, great professional solid feel to camera
Cons:aperture setting location hint move to fn control

Nikon uses its latest technology iin a very affordable camera. You don't need to be a professional to enjoy the features of this camera. This will most likely be the last DSLR camera I'll need.

Aloha,
I just bought this camera and I have had all of them. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to everyone. I love the two sd slots. It is a nice weight and very user friendly. I love the scene mode where you have easy access to all your important settings. They are displayed on the screen, so easy to see and use. You will absolutely love this camera.....You won't be disappointed.
Pros:Travel, personal, business, video

Homerun for Nikon

I have only had this camera for two days and only taking random photos around the house. I went from a D70 to the D7000 and what a difference. The shutter release is very touchy. If not carefull recomposing you will snap off a shot. If you happen to have it in Cl or Ch mode and try to get a single shot, good luck, that will take a little practice.
The view finder is nice and clean. What you get it what you see. It is 100% coverage. The display it huge, not much need to wait to upload images on the computer to see what you got.
The menu has alot. Not alot to overcome if you have shot with a nikon DSLR before. It does give you a few more options, but you can take it out of the box and get very clean images without making any changes. The auto focus point take little to master, still not at the mastery point yet. Changing the auto focus points and metering took a minute. That did require a look at the book.
The size of the body is nice. I don't have very large hands so it fits really nice. The extra battery grip would be nice but is very usable with out it. Once I put on a 24-70mm lens and the SB-900 flash I felt a need for that little extra on the bottom to balance the weight and use the bottom of my palm for a little extra support.
Over all this is a great up grade for anyone with a D90 or older and also something to look at if you have a D300. Very quiet even without using the quiet shutter mode. It will open a new world of photography even in low light and high ISO. If you are on the fence about buying this camera and you have the money, JUMP. You will not be dissappointed.
