Yes, I would recommend this product
Not a particularly sophisticated or extensive tech user. Finally got around to adding the external HD as protection after suffering a hard drive melt down last year.
Set-up was simple and I encountered no glitches or problems creating my basic settings. So far I've had no need to test it as far as recovering data after a crash goes. So I can only really say that it's a nice neat package and gives every appearance of functioning as promised with no initial complications.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I bought this as an external hard drive for one of my Dish Network receivers. Works great! Can't speak for the USB 3.0 in my case but this will be my fifth WD My Book external hard drive over the years and I've had a good number of WD internal hard drives as well and I've never had a problem with them. I highly recommend WD products!

Seems to be a great product. Plug it in, do some minimal set up for the automatic backup and let it go. It couldn't have been easier.
