This is an excellent product. I was able to set it up without any problem within couple of minutes of unpacking the AV adapter and it worked flawlessly. I can get internet speed up to 100 mbps which is not bad comparable to 54 mbps of speed I get through wireless connection. Setup was simple and easy.

AMAZING PRODUCT

WESTERN DIGITAL DOES IT AGAIN! I HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT WESTERN DIGITAL PRODUCTS AND HAVE BEEN A FAITHFUL FAN FOR FOREVER. AND THIS PRODUCT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAID IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO.
THE SET UP WAS EXTREMELY EASY, JUST PLUG IN THE UNITS TO THE WALL, AND THE UNITS BASICALLY FIND ONE ANOTHER AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUST POP IN THE DISC THAT IT COMES WITH. CLICK ON THE WD ICON AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. THE ENTIRE SET UP FROM START TO FINISH WAS LESS THAN 5 MIN.
THE REASON WHY I BOUGHT THE PRODUCT IS BECAUSE I HAVE 1000+ BLU RAY MOVIES ON WESTERN DIGITAL EXTERNAL HARDDRIVES AND NEED TO HAVE THE MOVIES ACCESSIBLE IN MY LIVING ROOM WITH NO AUDIO OR VIDEO LAG. THE LIVEWIRE WAS AMAZING AND SPED UP THE UPLOAD AND DOWNLOAD SPEEDS BY ALMOST 10X FASTER THAN THE WIRELESS CONNECTION I HAD PRIOR TO THIS PURCHASE.
THIS IS AN AMAZING PRODUCT THAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS A FASTER CONNECTION THAN WIRELESS AND CANNOT RUN A 100 FT ETHERNET CABLE FROM ONE SPOT TO ANOTHER.
LOOKING FORWARD TO WHAT WESTERN DIGITAL COMES OUT WITH NEXT! ALSO, I'M NOT A FAN OF PEOPLE GIVING SOMETHING A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO IMPATIENT OR NOT WILLING TO READ DIRECTIONS PROPERLY! PLEASE RATE THE PRODUCTS ON FUNCTIONALITY AND NOT ON HOW LONG IT TOOK YOU TO SET UP!

Would have given 5 stars if the instruction were a little more clear. Installation was easy and I have had no issues with it at all.

Works fine

I needed this to network my printer and hardwire my PS3. Since my PC is in my office and my playstation in the living room I had to buy this twice... You cant buy additional units - they force you to buy 2 per time at 100+ per pop. My work computer is on a VPN, there is a few tricks i needed to do to get this to work - each time its a different thing (sometimes i have to get the printer to talk to the network and others I have to add and remove the printer) Speed is def a plus on the PS3 - not a huge increase on the laptops.
Bottom line -you need an easy way to run a long distance hard wire - this is the way to go - its not a cheap way though...
