Yes, I would recommend this product
I've chosen LaCie 5big network 2 mostly because I know the brand. LaCie does high quality products, they are also very strong in design. I had a couple of smaller LaCie drives in the past and never had a problem. What I didn't expect and it came as a big bonus for me is the ease of installation and administration of this unit. The performance has been excellent as expected. I'm still exploring all the features offered with this unit. Overall it's a very good deal in terms of price for the kind of quality you get.

Great product. Worth every penny

Yes, I would recommend this product
I'm a digital photographer. I needed a solid reliable backup solution for my work. LaCie 5big Network 2 is just perfect for what I need. Not only I have a secure backup and storage solution now, I can as well access and show the pictures remotely via internet, choose the RAID mode, double the transfer rates thanks to dual LAN interface, and much more. The 5big Network 2 unit offers plenty of features, solid performance, low power consumption, and high reliability.

Great choice for centralized storage and security

Yes, I would recommend this product
The unit is very easy to setup. It has a logical customizable widget-like user interface. The included software is also very good. iSCSI feature is nice. Now I have RAID protection and remote access to a 5big network 2 through iSCSI for an old business application that was coded to support only local drives through iSCSI. The case is simple and attractive, made of solid aluminum. The unit is fast, quiet, and most importantly it is very reliable.
