Yes, I would recommend this product
This ebook reader is easy for anyone to use, but I did have to call tech support to understand downloading books from our Library's Camillia Net program..it is slightly different from commercial apps. I would recommend this to anyone since the price is in most people's reach. If book reading is your goal why pay more for a Kindle or Nook? I like the size and protability of this ereader also..fits great into my purse.

Yes, I would recommend this product
The e-reader is pretty good, light weight and buttons are easy to use. Great for use by people with arthritic hands. Battery life is great. Good selection of free classical books but could have used some more up-to-date titles. A backlight for screen would be great and transfering books to memory card doesn't quite work like described. Otherwise our family is very happy weith thisa product.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I just love this item I can read again my eye sight isn't was it used to be so I can change the font size. You don't loose your place with the book marking option. Easy to hold no more fumbling or loosing your page when you have to put it down. Really easy to down load the books just plain impressive. So much that my wife bought one 2 days after I got mine. Not to forget that the 100 books that came with it got me interested in other topics which I never read before. It is just a joy to be able to read again.

Yes, I would recommend this product
This e-reader is great especially for the price. I read the reviews for the Libre E-reader and the Sony. I bought this on the reviews. I like the idea that it came with 100 preloaded books. I have not tried to download any books yet. The MP3 was really a plus for me. The music was easy to download. I went on a 7 hour trip listening to music all the way and still had battery time left. The sound was nice. I like that you can check the battery to see how much battery life is left. I started reading the books and the page turning is great. I like it that you can set the auto page turner and it will automatically turn the page. You can make the print larger. You can put audiobooks and pictures on it. I like that it came with an SD Card. You can also listen to music while reading. It said that if you use the background music it will make it slow, but I didn't notice the slowness. It has an autopower off up to 30 minutes to help save battery. Overall, I would totally recommend it too everyone. The Sony did not have the MP3 player. The only thing missing is games and color.

I really like the E-Book. The only thing is the battery keeps needing charged. Guess because, I use it alot. I have learned how to download Library book from E-Pub it is great. No more tripped to the Library on a busy day.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I have only had the E-Book reader for a few weeks, but so far I love it. I have not tried to download book yet because it came with so many books I wanted to read I've not taken the time to download more. There is very little glare so reading outside is no problem. I am really enjoying it,and gave it only a 4 star rating because I have not used all the features yet.

I really like my Libre e-book reader. The only problrm I am having is finding up to date books that will download on it. There are a lot ot classics though that I also like.

I believe that the E-Reader is an exellence way to read books. As I the reader I find it easier and better for a way to carry books.Its light and portable and travle easy.The E-Reader bookmarks my pages also,it highlights the unknown words that I don't know. It tells me the definition of my unknown word also it tells me is it a noun, adjective. As I enjoy the E-Reader I wish it had color also they could make downloading book easier. But other than that you should buy the E-Read for a daughter,friend or anyone

Yes, I would recommend this product
This was my first e-reader, purchased after many days' research of the most popular ones available. I think I made a good choice with the Libre. Lightweight, long battery life and easy enough to learn without even reading the manual. I also like the fact it will handle numerous file formats. I'd recommend this product to anyone wanting a reader not loaded with options you'll never use, and not wanting to be locked into a proprietary file format.

Nice ereader for the price I purchase it for.No bells n whistles.Fits in your hands not bulky,lightweight. I carry it in my purse, really like it. Simple,very easy to uses.Pages seems to lag when you turn them,but it's manageable!!!! If you are looking for a simple reader,I would recommend getting this one.Once again thanks for such a reasonable price,Dell!!!!!

I got one of these for my daughter and she loves it. It is a bit slow on page turns but overall it fits her needs. The lighting is excellent and the battery life has been very good. A little overpriced since it does not have WiFi.

I reviewed several readers before deciding to buy this one. The readers I reviewed were Sony Poket and Touch, Kindle, and Barns & Noble's Nook reader. I decided for the money and what is included with the Aluratek reader, that the Aluratek reader would be the better bargan. I purchased 4 of these as christmas gifts for my four kids. When I received my order, I decided to take one for a test drive. I checked all 4 boxes to make sure every thing that was suppose to be included was there. I powered each one on and off to verify they were ok. Then I charged one of them up and proceeded to set it up for use after reading the quick start guide and the Guide to Purchase & Download Ebooks. I went to the Aluratek web site to see if there was a firmware up date. There was, so I updated the firmware. I have enjoyed reading my new epub books and plan to read some of the ones that came with the reader. I notice with the ePub you have more funtions to chose from than the text vertion on the reader. For instance, with the ePub vertion of the bible, you get the option to jump to another book in the bible from the table of content function. How cool is that! I found the eink quality to be great. The letters are crisp and clear. The screen dose not dim or fade unless you have a low battery. I have not seen low battery condition to say for sure. I found typing to be a little cumbersome for the "Content Search", option using the number keys on the right side of the reader. The option to use the slider on the left side of the reader or the page buttons on the left bottom corner of the reader to be a good feature, but might be considered redundant to some people. The size of the reader is perfect. The zoom feature is another great feature to have for those who need to make text larger for reading. I have not tried images or music yet.
I think this Aluratek Ebook Reader Pro is the greatest piece of technology at this time. I am sure there will be improvements. I have decided to keep this one for myself and have purchased another one to replace this one I kept, and bought another one for my wife as christmas gifts. I am sure they will love them.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Runs but has some flaws. Slow to respond to flipping through pages. The screen light dims after an hour. I checked the settings and found nothing altered this dimming of light on the screen. The battery is not too strong beyond a couple of hours. An e-reader case will make it safe for use while in transit. Since I don’t use it too frequently I think it will stay for another six months or more.

I bought this product for my daughter for her birthday. I did not want her to have access to the internet for fear of additional charges therefore this was a perfect gift. However, about 1 week after I purchased it and wrapped it as a gift, Sears and Kmart offered the exact same product for $99. That is $80 cheaper than what I bought it for. I was very dissapointed.

I was excited when my e reader was delivered today but that went away pretty quickly as soon as I opened the package. The reader is small, very tiny, so much so you have to have the zoom set to 200% to read it. The problem with that is then there is only about a paragraph at a time on the screen so you are constantly turning pages. That brings on the next problem, its slow, very slow. It takes about a minute to start up and when you change a page it lags, only about 5 seconds or so but when youre turning the page every 20 seconds it gets quite annoying. I plan on returning this one and trying the sony.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I decided to get an e-reader because I travel a lot and I like to travel light. The books I read are usually not at the top someone's best seller's list and can be obtain at less cost (or for free) than at one of the big book chain stores. Therefore, I want it to handle as many formats as possible. After comparing all the e-readers I could find available on the web, this one fits the bill.
If you just want to read a book, this one performs as well (in some cases better) as much higher priced readers. It does have a bit smaller screen and you have to load the books via your computer. It handles .pdf and .txt files quite well along with epub and Adobe Digital Media. I only keep a dozens or so books on it at a time, but using a SD card gives you more memory than a lot of other readers. The sound quality of the mp3 player is good (you can listen to audiobooks as well).
I'm sure e-readers will get better in the future, but for now, this one gives the most bang for the buck for bookworms like me.
