Title:

Does not work with new Dell Servers!!!

PostedAugust 20, 2012
No, I do not recommend this product.
Had one of these for a year, works ok except it does not work well with the Dell Rack Keyboard/Mouse combo - they keyboard will work but it's a pain to get the track pad working. This is because it expects two separate USB inputs for keyboard and mouse and the dell rack keyboard gives one. You can make it work, but after a lot of fiddling and messing.
However, the main problem is I've purchased a new R520 server and this device stops it from booting up, it just hangs on the POST while launching the life cycle controller. Dell support is blaming this device and hope Belkin will release a firmware update to fix it. Belkin has so far proved somewhat slow in responding to a request for support.
I'd avoid this product if you want it to work with newer Dell servers.
