Awesome Mobile Business Computer!
PostedAugust 9, 2011
Yes, I would recommend this product
Been about 4 months now and have had no problems. Love the ease-of-use and the large touch display screen. Use with Windows Mobile and I can go anywhere in our large building and the connections are spot on. The other reviewer scared me a bit, but in re-reading his, it sounds like he may have issues with his wi-fi network. Our building has multiple access points so it's a breeze going from one end of the building to the other. The Blue-Tooth attachments plug in and I can scan in the warehouse for inventory and then sync right to my desktop for easy printing and emailing. Great little PC! Much better than the Motorola IPAc and the Intemec CK model.
Pros:business environment, corporate data retrieval

Cheap and useless

No, I do not recommend this product.
I had a software vendor recomend this PDA and bought it to upgrade from a Dell v51. This was no upgrade. It is a shame that Dell dicontinued the Dell brand PDAs, I loved them. The Socket continues to crash 3-6 times a day. I should have known when out of the box the Socket feels like a cheap kids toy instead of a $600 "ruggedized" computer. My advise: do research then buy anything but a Socket.
