Recommended by a customer support tech to speed up my system. The addiitional memory brought the sys memory up to full 4 gb.
Pros:Lived up to all expectations. Improved all aspects of my system response speed - from shorter boot time to program execution.
Cons:Small difficulty inserting memory sticks into sockets.

I upgraded my XPS with 2 of these a couple of months ago and have had no problems. More RAM fixed some Vista issues, and all is running smoothly. I do mainly basic computing: desktop publishing, audio/video editing, etc. I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak to that aspect.
