Yes, I would recommend this product

There are many USB 2.0 extenders out there, but if your intent is to move the keyboard and monitor a good distance away from the computer you will find that USB 2.0 adapters won't let keyboards F2/F12 into the bios or boot window on most computers. This USB 1.X works fine in that respect and the only downside is that most Dell multimedia keyboards draw 1.5 amps far exceeding the 500ma available at the adapter. A 5v power input to the adapter is provided to remedy this, but no power supply was included. I was able to find an earlier dell keyboard which draws only 100ma and all works fine.
So, great product, but...
