The memory I purchased was taliored to my PC so I
knew it wasn't a hit or miss purchase. It was shipped overnight and the shipping was free. It was Half the price of memory I had looked at in computer stores and web sites.I am very pleased with the product and would recommend Dell to a friend.

Quick and easy to install, made a tremendous difference in how the 4700C runs. Should have been on board to start with, and helps keep the old machine running until we can afford a new Dell with Windows 7. Does Dell (or anyone else) recycle old memory modules?

I have been using a Dell computer for 5+ years with only 512K memory. Increasing to 2 GB has made a significant improvement in speed. Installation was easy with no problems. Also updated the BIOS at the same time. Excellent service from Dell.

Wow! Arrived in what seemed to be less than 24hours after ordering. Installation trivially easy.
Recently I've been hauling a mac into an Apple store for memory upgrades at crazy prices, so this was interesting, the Dell experience is all good so far.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I have a 4700C that is about 5 years old. I only had 512 of memory and decided I would try to upgrade. I searched at Dell.com. The site was very user friendly and helped me determine what I needed for my system. Installation was a breeze, just opened my system case (make sure you're unplugged), took out the old memory and inserted the two new 1GB memory sticks. My system is now MUCH faster.

Pros:Works great. Improved my computer performance very much.
Cons:Could not get the two moduals to work with the existing 256 X 2 boards I already had. I was hopeing I could get 2.5 GB. I did place them in the correct slots.

When I read other reviews on this product they were good with one exception:One person expressed concern over the hinged plug in part,He thought they(hinges) may break. After receiving mine I looked over these hinges and they seem pretty sterdy to me and besides the manufacture guarantees this device FOR LIFE. What more can I say?
Pros:easy to use,convenient,and works great.
