Pretty good all in one remote

PostedFebruary 8, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
Bought this for my parents to use with there home theater equipment. This remote has enabled me to consolidate 5 remotes to 1.
Took a little while to program some of the functions and is a little confusing moving through all the menus. Once you get the hang of it its pretty easy. I have them controlling a Sony TV, RCA Surround Sound, LG Blue Ray Player, Sony DVD and Direct TV Satellite.

Worth the Money

I wanted the Logitech with the big LCD screen. But can't afford it. Took a chance on this one and was very surprised. I have tried a few "Universal" remotes before, but none of them would do all the functions on all my equipment.
It came quick,2 days. Read the manual and began programing it. I have 2 400 disc players{CD & DVD}. Both have a ton of functions that most remotes do not recognize. If you have any equipment with remotes with a lot of functions, I recomend using the "learning" feature. It handled every button on the remotes. No more reaching for the original remote for a certain function. The "Macro" function is also very helpful.
All in all reasonable quick setup, works everything. Don't have a need for the transmitter yet so I can't review that.
Only Con I can say is that the "volume down" button doesn't work in Cable mode, only TV. But maybe I missed something.
Great Remote for the price.

Loaded with features.

This Remote is a must have for multi-room use. This pack is more than I expected. The learning feature is superb. However it would benefit Universal Remote to add USB capability. The RF receiver unit has a strong burst signal. I recommend this product.

Universal remote

PostedMay 13, 2008
Yes, I would recommend this product
If you have more than 2 devices w/remotes, this universal remote is wonderful .. works as well as or better than models that cost 2-3+ times as much.
Pros:this little puppy is every bit as easy to program as is advertised. It even 'learns' remote functions for brands not listed in the owners manual. Well worth the bucks.
Cons:I found I didn't need the transmitter .. my fault/mistake!
