Yes, I would recommend this product
This is the highest quality backpack I have ever seen. I did an extensive search to find a multi-purpose backpack that I could also use to carry around my 17 inch Dell XPS laptop. The XPS 17 fits perfectly in this backpack with room to spare. In fact I could hold several laptops in this bag if needed.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I bought this for my new Dell XPS 17 L702x and hoped it also fit my smaller Dell 11z in another pocket. Well let me tell you it fits both laptops with room to spare. I am a college professor and also carry a couple of text books in it as well. It feels very sturdy and I think it will stand up to what I can dish out, I have had other backpacks and they fell apart after about 6 months or so.

This is an excellent deal and great quality. Bought 2 new xps17 laptops for my kids and purchase these backpacks to them to carry them in. These have lots of great room and pockets for lots of books and other needs. I would recommend this to anyone. The ad says 17" but the 2 17xps I purchased are actually 17.3" and they fit great.

I bought this to use as I now walk to work and needed to carry my laptop and a change of clothes with me....this backpack works great! Protects my laptop , lightweight and extra room for other items! Found the same bag at Staples for more money!

Yes, I would recommend this product
When I saw the review of this backpack I was in the process of purchasing a Targus backpack. After Looking at the Targus and then the review other people have given this Swiss Gear, I decided on the Swiss Gear one to buy.
PROS: Just about everything I like; plenty of pockets for storage; big cushioned protective portion for the laptop and a little pocket on the top for little items.
CONS: Nothing

Backpack is good. Dell sells it for too high price. Common Dell, expect lower pricing.

excellent bag, plenty of space, and very rugged design.. extremely happy with the backpak and it is easy to carry the weigh is distributed very well. heavy duty construction makes it very durable, padding and protection is also excellent...

My husband borrowed this backpack from a friend in order to carry his laptop around at a convention, instead of a messenger bag style carrier. He fell in love with it. He loved it so much that he kept "forgetting" to return it to his friend and his work stuff ended up in it. Finally I had to buy a new one for the poor friend. Apparently it is comfortable and fits everything he needs (he's a IT consultant). Seems very durable.
He has a 17 inch, non-wide-screen. Plenty of room.

Excellent construction and extremely durable. Would highly recommend for NON-WIDESCREEN 17" LAPTOPS. Note that this backpack will not accomodate the current line of Dell XPS17 laptops.
If your laptop fits its great. Very roomy and well padded. But, if you're looking for a backpack that will acommodate Dell's current line of 17" HD screen laptops I would suggest trying the SwissGear Ibex as opposed to the Pegasus.
I will be sending this one back and trying the Ibex.

I bought this because I am going to college and i prefer a backpack rather than messenger and need room for books and materials and wanted something that was durable and would last me through college. i have a 17 in laptop so I didnt have much of a choice but even if i didnt have a 17 in laptop I probly would of still got this bag because it has so much room. one thing i would have liked is a hole for my headphones but i can live without and will not de-rate this product because a hole. i highly recommend this product to college students with laptops that need room for books and other materials and want something that will last them. let me tell you its worth the money
