I may have just gotten a defective one

No, I do not recommend this product.
Well I've heard good things about startech products but I'm sure not having any luck with this one. If it works the way its supposed to you can have two computers booted and switch back and forth between them. One computer on either port one or port two works perfectly, as soon as a second computer is connected the problems start. The unit has lights in the buttons to give status, blinking green means no powered computer on that port, that's all I ever get on either button with the second system connected. Guess it goes back for a different product, too bad I like the switch it seems very well made and sturdy.
Pros:DVI connections for video, usb hub supports other shared devices (like bluetooth adapters for mice etc)
Cons:This one not working, cables not included
