No, I do not recommend this product.
These headphones were recommended to my by a Dell Tech Support person as something that would go well with my sound card. I cannot get them configured even with Dell Tech Support aid.

These are excellent

PostedApril 3, 2007
Yes, I would recommend this product
Because I already have 5.1 in my XPS 700 I didn't have to buy the adaptor. In games it really helps to know where your opponents are...with these I can tell not only if they are left or right of me, I can tell if they are behind, in front, above below....get the idea? These are a MUST HAVE if you play shooter games! Oh yea...MUSIC SOUNDS INCREDIBLE!
Pros:True surround sound at a very affordable price.
Cons:A bit uncomfortable but i got used to them. Needs a micriphone.

Hidden Hardware Requirement

PostedMarch 13, 2007
No, I do not recommend this product.
Pros:I haven't found anything very exciting to actually applaude.
Cons:The set is not comfortable to wear. The pads are hot after a moments wear. The sound rivals only that of a set of airline handout headphones. But the kicker for me was a requirement to buy an additional 5.1 amplifier from them to hook them up to my sound card. I obviously have my speakers connected there already, so the only way to connect this headphone is to plug their optional amp into the stereo jack and let it "derive" the other channels. I don't even want to try that.
