Yes, I would recommend this product
I purchased this thinking it would work in any country to protect with plug adapter to be fair to Belkin I may have misunderstood but in Australia it tripped the circuit when plugged in so I am scared to use it again.
Worked fine when home in USA so I need to review the specs once I get back from travel. Seems sturdy but not sure it was what I thought I was getting. If it is purely for 120 watts power surge protection then it works fine. Perhaps they need to clarify USA travel only instead of selling as a travel protector.

Because I had a computer with too few USB ports, I needed a hub that could power devices like my iPhone. This one works very well, and it's not bulky like a lot of hubs.

Yes, I would recommend this product
This unit works fine except it does not provide enough power for an IPod nano. When I plugged in the ipod nano, it seemed as though the system could not recognize the new hardware and, when I hooked it up directly to a USB hub, the ipod had lost it's settings. Had to totally restore the ipod to it's factory settings and then resync to get back all the music that had been stored. Otherwise it is a fine device.

Easily allows for multiple devices to connect to my laptop at one time without having several cables in the way. I can charge my Blackberry, Print a document, Charge my MP3 player, and backup data on my external hard drive all through one USB hub.
