I am a professional photographer & wanted a lens that took close up portraits...This lens was just what I was looking for! It take great pictures & I'm absolutely pleased with my purchase! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to take clear close up photos! So glad I spent the money on this lens! There is nothing I can say bad about this lens!

I just wanted to say, You will be blown away with this lens. If your trying to make up your mind on which of the first lens you want to buy. Please make this the first one. It will make you desire to take up portrait photography. YOU will never be sorry you left the point and shoot world and entered the wonderful world of dslr.Check out online auctions and you will see how this lens holds it's value.I promise you will love this lens even after you upgrade to the L's

Change The Way You Take Pictures

Yes, I would recommend this product
Perfect depth of field, quick auto focus and beautiful images are only a click away.
Pros:Imagine sitting on a tropical island (I like to think of Bermuda), white sand, pearlescent blue water, warm sun. Now, what lens do I use to capture this spectacle? Don't think twice, grab your 85mm and take aim. As photographers, we only get one chance to shoot a great image; this piece of equipment (and a considerable amount of practice and skill) will help you do just that.
Cons:Always buy Canon glass (EF or L series) and you'll never have a con, guaranteed.

If I could have only one lens for the rest of my life, it would be this. The image quality is incredible. Never before have I felt like I could reach into my photos and touch whatever I had taken a picture of....until now.

Pros:This is my most used portrait lens. It's tack sharp and has beautiful bokeh. Color and contrast are great.
