No, I do not recommend this product.
I had thought this was a security product that "secured to the laptop through the security jack located in the laptop body". Rather, this product requires you to attach to the laptop, or desktop, or whatever object is being secured, a metal fixture that uses adhesive to permanently attach to the body, then the cable plugs into the fixture and then to the fixed object for security. It is not the conventional laptop security cable product. Whatever object you secure has this fixture permanently attached to the outside.
