No, I do not recommend this product.
I purchased the upgrade to get 100GB of storage. After my new Dell XPS laptop crashed, I needed the backed-up files. Datasafe didn't work at all so I called customer support. After at least 10 long phone calls, I was able to get about 1% of my files back. A complete waste of my time, money, and worst of all, the loss of irreplaceable documents and photos of my children that I'll never see again ... a total disaster. I'm done with Dell!

No, I do not recommend this product.
Horrible product. Used for a period of 14 months and when I finally needed a backup DataSafe was only able to recover 75% of my data. Avoid this backup product

DataSafe Online Does Not Work

No, I do not recommend this product.
I recently purchased Dell DataSafe Online (and then upgraded to acquire more storage space as it suggested). I used it initially when it came free with my Dell Studio purchase. After the initial license expired I decided to purchase it since it seemed to be providing fast and easy backups of my data.
When I purchased and installed the new version I was in for a surprise. The interface is totally different (kind of mickey-mouse) and it keeps failing every time I try to do the initial backup. It ran all day and then I tried again overnight to backup just under 7GB. The only feedback I have is that "Backup Failed". No error codes, no suggestions, no reason.
I tried calling tech support but was transferred to 3 different places before I gave up waiting on the line.
I only have so much time to waste with this product. I would like Dell to refund my money.
