Not exactly what it says on the tin

No, I do not recommend this product.
The tech blurb here says 'ultra high end' which this card, although capable, very much is not. Nvidia's own website has it as 'Entry Level' albeit admittedly at the top end of entry level. To compare this card with the FX5800 (Nvidia's Ultra high end) we see the two stack up as below with the FX 580 figures first:
Memory Interface: 64-bit vs. 512-bit
Memory Bandwidth: 25.6 GB/s vs. 102GB/s
Max Power Consumption: 40W vs. 189W
Triangles per Second: 170.2 Million vs. 300 Million
Texels per Second / Fill Rate: 7.2 Billion vs. 52 Billion
Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad card for the price and is probably fine for 2d applications or even light videos, but it struggles with large and multiple screens running intensive shading operations.
