No, I do not recommend this product.
Shipped suprisingly fast.
Totally lacks any mannual or instruction, even searching internet was no luck.
It's size compares to regular TV or player remote which is to big for mobile use, market offerrs smaller and cheaper remotes for PCs and laptops.
With laptop m17x with windows7 and i7 processor basic functions works right of the box, sometimes it freezes. No clue how to use rest of the buttons

Yes, I would recommend this product
I purchased this remote to use with Windows media center. It also controls directv2pc and other windows apps. It comes with an Infrared receiver. The Studio XPS has IR built in. No software or drivers required for Windows 7. This is not the remote with the LCD screen. It is pretty basic and works great for watching movies.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I've gone through 3 of these remotes and none of them are able to connect to my laptop. I always get the error saying connection was unsuccessful. and so far no one has been able to get it to work right. The cheaper remote works fine, but this high tech one, doesn't work at all.
Pros:Looks cool, and even lights up with a cool blue color. If it worked seems like it would be a great controller to have.
Cons:Can't get it to connect, always says unsuccessful.
