A Great Laptop Companion
PostedDecember 13, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
I've had any number of mice, wired and wireless. This one is the best yet - no wire, no plug-in - it just works. The switch gives it long battery life. Setup and pairing was a snap. Its size and shape are just right - small but comfortable. Lots of settings(in control panel) to suit any style.
One caution, the "Tap to Click" option may cause the cursor to jump around while you are typing. I had to disable mine.
Pros:internet, document work, Travel

Most incredible mouse EVER
PostedAugust 15, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
This mouse deserves A LOT of stars. Extremely comfortable to use. I find full size mouse for desktop uncomfortable and causes my wrist to hurt. I have used this mouse for 5 years, and cannot use anything else! Including the Microsoft Bluetooth 5000 mouse. Trust me, buy this one!! Great weight distribution, stable bluetooth connection, and very accurate. I cannot live without the side buttons! They make surfing the web SO AWESOME.
Cons - I have gone through two of these mice because the middle button broke. Other than that, everything else is amazing.

A Great Mouse for your Laptop
PostedAugust 2, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
Pros -
Syncs easily with my Lenovo Laptop everytime without installing the Dell Software. (I don't like adding extra software to my work PC).
Has Forward and Back Buttons => a huge Bonus!
Solid Feel but small enough to easily fit in my cramped Briefcase.
Not Slipperry like some others.
Well Engineered Product
Cons -
Needs Batteries (but not very often) - I'd prefer a rechargable / usable via a USB Cord if batteries die => if R&D is listening.
So small I missed it in a Hotel when packing up so I lost it. (But the second one is still fabulous.)
Pros:emails, web surfing, spreadsheets, word docs, powerpoint

Review 6 for 5-Button Bluetooth Travel Mouse - Matte Black
PROS: Connects via Bluetooth without requiring an adapter/receiver. Big deal for ultrabooks with limited USB ports. Setup was a snap. Tracking, scrolling, etc. is smooth. Track wheel is quiet. On/off switch saves battery, especially when traveling. Compact size without being too small. Design matches my XPS 13 is a plus.
CONS (minor) Battery door hard to remove, but you rarely have to do that I haven't found the little silver buttons on the side all that useful. Seem necessary.

I bought this for use with my laptop. It was easy to marry to the laptop and I was up and running in no time. The mouse is very hardy and reliable (It is the second I have bought (for a second laptop not because the first one failed). It is a great mouse.

After purchasing an incredible Dell laptop (17' screen, 6GB/500GB, etc etc etc...) I realized- after 16 years of desktop computing- that I was just not (yet?) a "touchpad guy", and so sought to acquire a wireless mouse to ease the transition into portability. Dell's website made that as painless- and economical- as possible with an array of solutions that are ergonomic and affordable. I selected the Dell Bluetooth 5 -Button Travel Mouse, and have been happy ever after!

Review 9 for 5-Button Bluetooth Travel Mouse - Matte Black
Best little mouse for the money. Has the forward and back buttons on the side, runs for a long time on two AA batteries and I always forget to turn it off. The price on Dell.com was better than all the other sites (really was cool). I can hook the laptop 15 feet away from the mouse to the TV and the mouse still works!
When I received the mouse, it took less than 10 minutes from unpacking the mouse to using the mouse. Little to no setup and very easy to use.

I love this "mouse". Not all mices but this one! The forward and back button for pages is stellar. It is the perfect size for my hand for everyday use, not just travel. Truly responsive and wish I could say something bad but nada. Thanks Dell.

I wanted bluetooth to eliminate plugging into the USB port. This mouse is perfect. It fits my hand perfectly scrolls easily and has a very nice click feel. I have had it for about 3 weeks and there are no problems. Unlike my other wireless mouse that uses the usb port my cursor does not bounce around, freeze up or disappear. I had to wait a few days becasuse it was on back order but it was worth the wait.

Will not Connect, Do not buy
PostedMarch 21, 2012
No, I do not recommend this product.
I'm currently using the touch pad. Why? It's because the mouse won't connect. I am an electrical and computer engineer and I've given up trying to connect this mouse after 5-6 hours of reinstalling multiple types of drivers. I was even desperate enough to try updating the BIOS.
The bluetooth won't recognize the mouse. Every once in awhile windows will notice its there then fail to connect to it a few seconds later. All the while the mouse is blinking its little blue light with new batteries.
I've even tried removing the batteries and discharging any capacitance stored in the mouse.
I choose to buy a dell mouse (actually made by logitech, thats why it uses setpoint) because I assumed it would have a easier time connecting to a dell system. Save yourself the frustration, don't buy this mouse.
Pros:does it matter? it doesn't work.

No, I do not recommend this product.
The mouse worked fine for a month or 2 and then started giving me problems with connectivity and then it finally stopped working.
Pros: - small size - my laptop has built-in bluetooth so it was pretty convenient Cons: - connectivity problems after a while - takes some tinkering to set it up for the first time - stopped working after 6-7 weeks
Pros:everyday use, light gaming

Bought this mouse to use with my macbook! Didn't want to have the extra dongle, preferred Bluetooth. Since playbooks are cheap now and I bought one as well... This mouse made my life a LOT easier!! I didn't have to get up and grab my playbook to do anything, the mouse did! Got this on sale when it was 13.99 and it has done nothing but awesomeness so far. Love it!

Connects quickly, works well

Unlike another wireless keyboard/mouse that I have, this Bluetooth one connects very quickly. It works well and seems relatively precise (although I acknowledge that I am just a general user).
I haven't had any problems yet, and have been using for about a month.

Great bluetooth travel mouse
PostedDecember 21, 2011
Yes, I would recommend this product
This seems to be one of the few wireless mice that doesn't come with its own dongle. This is great because most notebook computers these days have built-in Bluetooth and you don't need another thing to carry around that just adds to the price.
The battery bay and the auxiliary (thumb?) buttons on the side of the mouse feel a bit cheap, and the scroll wheel isn't as smooth as other mice I've used, but the rest of the build quality seems good and overall it's satisfactory considering the price.
The included Duracell batteries are a nice touch, but I recommend using some rechargeable ones (e.g. Sanyo Eneloop).
It sync'd right out of the box with my Windows 7 64-bit notebook. The mouse is small but comfortable to use. No complaints with accuracy. There may be a split second of lag the first time you move it after it's been sitting still for a few minutes (probably awakening from a power-saving mode) but it's not enough to be an annoyance.
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and hope to use this mouse for years to come.
