Compatibility issues with Dell Flat Panel ST2420L

No, I do not recommend this product.
Unfortunately, this stand is not compatible with the Dell ST2420L (24 inch) flat panel monitor (Part No. MVGKH). As of the date of this review, the stand now comes with the alternate (VESA) mount talked about in previous reviews but it doesn't help you with this particular panel.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Great product once you figure out how to make it work with your monitor. I have a Dell U2312HM 23" monitor so I switched to the settings for larger monitors. The monitor would go all the way to the top no matter what I tried.
There is no manual for the product so I called tech support and they wouldn't help me since I didn't buy the stand from Dell directly even though the laptop and monitor were purchased from Dell directly.
It turns out the Dell U2312HM monitor is so light it won't work on the 20"-24" setting. I changed the setting back to 17"-20" on a hunch and it worked.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I ordered this stand and it arrived in 3 days using standard shipping. Opening the box, I was surprised at how well it was made. Cast and polished metal. Built like a truck. Pieces (3) locked together perfectly. It took 2 minutes to assemble. Very nice.

Yes, I would recommend this product
uses standard 100x100 and 200x200mm VESA mount adapter included in package to work with ANY branded monitor. HOWEVER, if you have a more modern 16x9 monitor, might need 100x200mm VESA adapter kit (not included).
This monitor mount is BETTER than the Monitor stand, as it takes up less room and allows for more height adjustment.
Always seems to be out of stock.

Would be nice to be able to raise the monitor higher and take advantage of laptop screen. This will allow for dual monitor capability. Bad engineering design leaving out key capability.

This is an awesome stand that saves lot of desk space.
I tested it with 2709WFP (27") and it works as well. I'm not sure what engineering limit is but so far it works.

The notebook hangs out the front a little more than I would like, but it looks good!
This came with the vesa adapter. I used the dock with a dell 1907 monitor. So now I have a nice spare monitor mount, hrm... yes the included vesa adapter works on the old 1907 monitor mount just fine.

This stand does work with the 2001FP and the older style Monitors, but you do have to replace the mounting plate with the VESA plate that also ships with the stand.

Despite what another reviewer has said, this stand DOES ship with a standard VESA mount. I have it hooked up to a 24" Asus monitor and it works great.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Pros:The arm appears to be well constructed and should handle up to a 24" monitor easily. There is a simple screw to switch the tension to match your monitor size, which is helpful.
Cons:The description doesn't detail that this arm only works for Dell LCDs. It does not use a standard VESA mount, therefore it will not let you mount a non-Dell monitor. So it's a paperweight for me now.

Pros:Solid and sturdy, less of a desktop footprint
Cons:Will NOT fit older LCDs like the Dell 2001FP
