wish i would have read the reviews and known to buy speakers. other than that it's pretty neat. no trouble yet but still new we will see if it can keep up. but i like it.

I have had this monitor for a little bit now and it is with out a doubt a very good monitor. The touch feature responds well, the HD looks amazing,I would recommend this to anyone who wants a new monitor!

I have a five-year old Dell desktop, but we really don't challenge it so it works fine as a family machine. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and read about the touch screen capabilities so I explored a new monitor.
I really had no difficulties with the install and everything worked as expected. The face recognition works as well, but watch out if you log into other accounts periodically because it will recalibrate the history. Also, there are times when the touch capabilities stop functioning until you restart or logoff. I'm not sure why or what the pattern is. It does not happen all of the time so it really is not that big of a deal.
The only uncertainty I had when I purchased the monitor was whether or not speakers existing on the monitor. The answer is defintely NO so spend the extra $30-$50 to get a speaker bar, which is have now ordered. Otherwise desk speakers are fine if you have the real estate.
The monitor can hook up to a cable box with an HDMI cable and double as a TV, but you have to toggle between the TV and PC or use a TV card or box. The picture is reasonable either way.
The only downer on the whole experience was that one week after I purchased the monitor, it was $100 cheaper. The lesson learned is that monitor the prices for a bit if you have the time to get the best price because the prices move quite a bit or at least they did in December when I made the purchase.

This monitor is amazingly big and beautiful. I love watching videos on it, actually just viewing anything on it is wonderful.
Just didn't know to order a computer with a DVI-D connection video card, so am not able to fully utilize the touch feature.

This is a nice monitor and I am happy with it overall. However, keep in mind the compatibility issues. The webcam works with Windows XP but the touch-screen does not. When I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium the touchscreen did work but the webcam quit working. After spending over an hour online with Dell tech support I was told the touchcam software only works on Dell systems. So, if this is true, don't count on the webcam on a non-Dell computer.

Recent upgrade to Windows 7 led me on a search for a touch screen monitor and that led me to Dell. I love Dell products, most of my systems are Dell. Touchscreen is great, crisp clear pciture and I've not installed an HD card in my system yet! No regrets here.

Easy to install, for Win7 users use the recent drivers/software (download from DELL support). Camera work fine and image/video is astounding. For users with more experience the boot time increase noticeable (i.e. Touch Screen applications). Again this is just a primary monitor and a two point design. Touch screen do not work as a secondary monitor, even if you have two similar monitors.

As some former comments complain, the multi-touch doesn't functions as expected when it is used as the second monitor of a laptop. My solution is to use it as the primary monitor while the laptop monitor used as the second monitor. Then all problem could be solved.
The color range of this monitor is not satisfying, something like low-level LCD panel.

Probably this is the lowest price on the market for a 21.5" multi-touch flat panel monitor. It is really worth the price. I would like to recommend it to my friends.

The webcam works for me and I have windows 7. Its a pretty good monitor. Very nice screen. As for the touch features: those are pretty good. I do have an ipod, so used the nice response that has. The scrolling for this is excellent. Going back and forth on pages through touch is excellent. Moving things around the desktop is really good. Touching certain things on the desktop or webpage can be tough. Its either right or, or you have to touch a little above or to the side to get it to work. I look forward to using this with another monitor. Glad I bought this!

This monitor is a great piece of technology by itself. The hardware works exactly as it says it will. The hardware gets a 5-star. The software however gets a 1-star. The down side comes when someone who is on the cutting edge of technology and desires two touchscreen monitors. The software Dell uses to register the touch input, NextWindow, is only designed for one monitor. I guess NextWindow and Dell both live in worlds where people only have one monitor. It makes me very sad that I can't have two touchscreen monitors as I thoroughly enjoy my first one. Maybe one day they will pick up the clue phone and realize that two monitors is not weird or outside the realm of possibilities and remedy the problem, but until then this monitor is only good one per system.

This is an amazing monitor, for the monitor part. The touch is OK when it's on the primary monitor, still not completely accurate though. If you need it to be on the secondary monitor like me, it sucks. I have yet to figure out how to move the touch features to the secondary display. Otherwise, great video, camera and mics are a plus.

This is a great monitor as for as clarity, color, brightness etc.
People seem to complain alot about the lack of using it as a secondary monitor, but after an hour or so of playing with these, i have two SX2210T's as monitor 2/3 and SX2210 as 1/4. And the touch capability is working fine.
I would say as far as monitors go, and as far as touchscreens work, these are a great investment.

I don't know why in a home theater setup you would want this as a second monitor. I have it setup in mirror mode with windows 7 ultimate media center and this thing is awesome with the 1080p resolution that matches my 1920x1080 project resolution. In mirrored mode I can control all my movies, music and videos right from the seat of my couch. I have my ipod touch to control my itunes library when we have music streamed throughout the house, but it also serves as a good hub for any of our friends who want to peruse our collections!
