I bought a laptop for my grandaughter and she likes green so I got her the Summer Grass Lid. She just loves it. The color is quite vibrant and seems to wear well.

No, I do not recommend this product.
The color is nice, but since it is a laptop, it is moved around a lot. I noticed scratched within the first couple days. It's a nice color, but not really worth the extra money. I will not purchase a new one once this one is looking pretty bad. I will just put the original black cover back on it that came free with the computer.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Having used Dell products that were provided by my employer for many years, I was confident in the durability and dependability that Dell provided. When the time came to shop for a personal laptop, I found myself refering back to the things that I liked about the Dells. I found that there were alot of choices on the market and many of them were competative. Ultimatly I chose the 15" Inspiron because of the light weight yet durable layout. Having a 10 key on the board was a must for me. It is easy to feel the keys and sense the positive key stroke. The only downside to the keyboard is the location and size of the delete button. I love the lighted caps lock key as I do use the laptop in poor lighting at times. I also chose the Green lid. This option turned out to be a bigger benefit than first thought, it looks great sitting on various tables throughout the house and is easily recognized when surrounded by several other laptops. Very handy notebook that doesnt seem to get to warm sitting on my lap and I am pleased with the battery life.

My daughter wanted a green laptop. We are a Dell family and while I was looking at options to replace our aging 840 desktop, I took a detour to the laptop section and was pleasantly surprised to find the Inspiron with the ability to personalize the lid. I got a great deal on the Inspiron and ordered the green lid. It arrived right on time and was easy to click on. I have not noticed any issues with it and more importantly, she loves her laptop even more. Now back to looking at the desktops for the family.......

Cover was easy to exchange. I bought a new computer for my mother, who has rheumatoid arthritis and she was able to assemble it in a snap. The color is exactly as pictured, which is rarity between product display online and home.

It's a cover, and in that it worked well, installation is extremely quick and easy.

Cons:
The color of the cover was significantly darker than I was expecting. I was looking for a great cover for a "girly girl" and was under the impression this would be a light color neon green, however when it arrived, it was a dark color, more of a forest green, which did not at all fit the person I had purchased it for.

I order a Summer Grass Switch by design which was suppose to be green and I got a pink one. And when I e-mailed Dell twice my responds was send it back and they would give me credit. Wow, really? They should have sent me the right color to begin with, and once I complained they should at once mailed me the right one. They didn't have to worry I would send their ugly pink one back!!!
