Yes, I would recommend this product
Works with Windows 7, no drivers required to install. Overall an excellent product and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a FAX modem, an excellent choice for the mobile warriors who need a small and lightweight unit.
Pros:outbound fax, windows 7 friendly, travel mobile on the road

Yes, I would recommend this product
I plugged this modem into a USB port on a Windows 7 pc, Windows recognized it, installed it, and I used it. I leave the modem permanently plugged in to the PC.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Luckily for me I ignored the negative reviews and bought one of these modems! It was plug and play all the way! I fired up my Studio Laptop and inserted the driver CD, loaded the driver and plugged in the modem. Instant access to my ISP! As for the modem speed being less than 56K? Well, unless you're right on top of your ISP central server you probably won't get 56K from any modem. I'm 18 miles from my ISP central hub and still get a speed of 48K so that's not bad considering the distance.
Pros:Connecting with Friends, Finances, ebay, email

Needed dial up modem

Yes, I would recommend this product
I bought this with my new XPS 1530 computer which I will use at school with wi-fi, but will occasionally need to use at home. Only available internet here is dial-up therefore external modem. My home computer (a 2 year Dell desktop)gets 56k with its internal modem, although I know this isn't lighting quick, its just irritating to go from 56 to 32 on a new computer. It feels SOOO slow after been on wi-fi. I have checked the settings and am sure it isn't the home wiring.
Pros:easy to use and install
Cons:doesn't want to give me 56k speed.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Cons:I purchased my computer from QVC and didn't know I would have to purchase an external USB modem, available only from Dell. I WOULDN'T HAVE MADE THE PURCHASE IF THIS INFORMATION WAS MADE AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. I CALLED DELL AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, HOPING I COULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE ITEM BUT, OF COURSE, WAS TOLD NO. I NOW CONNECT TO THE INTERNET VIA MY CABLE COMPANY AND OF COURSE THE ITEM IS USELESS AND I'M OUT ALMOST $50.00. VERY UNHAPPY.
