Yes, I would recommend this product
I just got the battery. Love the fact I can now get 4 hours versus 2 hours use. Yes it does raise that back an inch. I think that is a good thing. It lifts the laptop up giving more room for better air flow.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Yes, it can last all day, but the 9 cell battery is massive. It adds about an inch to my laptop's overall thickness. As a result, it is difficult to travel with. You can have a battery that doesn't last long but is easy to carry, or you can have a battery that lasts long but is less mobile. It's an impossible paradox, I suppose.

Great Help During Trying Time

Yes, I would recommend this product
I purchased this battery to give me the ability to work longer without being connected to an outlet. Little did I know how handy this would be during my mother-in-law's illness. I found myself needing to find places to work and because I had this battery, I didn't ahve to worry if an oulet was near. It was a sad period of time, but I was fortunately able to work much of the time and still be close in case anyone needed me. The battery was a blessing. I made a great choice!

Yes, I would recommend this product
I do think this is a good (not great) battery. Shortly after receiving my new Inspiron it was obvious I was going to have to have a better battery. The life of the standard 6 cell is short lived to say the least. After ordering the 9 cell and using it a few times I was really impressed with how long this battery would run on a full charge. However … I did expect the battery life to be a little longer. I always run the “Dell” power plan on my laptop and just after the two year mark and with no warning at all, the battery is completely shot.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I am amazed at how long this battery lasts. I sometimes forget to plug it in to charge because it lasts so long. A Dell Representative recommended this 9cell battery as opposed to the 6cell that was installed on my laptop. I am so very glad he did. Thank you Dell for always looking out for me.
