Yes, I would recommend this product
A breeze to set up and choose the profile that suits your type of work. This monitor replaces an earlier 2007 20" Dell Ultrasharp monitor which is still working fine but this one is a great improvement.
The wide gamut provides and unbelievable range of colours with all of the subtle shades displayed.
As a keen photographer, accurate colour is important to me and that is what you get from this stunning display.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Pros
Got this monitor for photography use. Very nice and wide gamut. Lots of nice colours too. Inputs are very handy for other devices such as gaming consoles. Was entirely happy with it...

Cons
... Until a green vertical line popped-out of nowhere after a years use. 14 months, 4 phone calls and two warranty transfer requests I'm still with a broken screen since I've been informed by support they can't seem to find a transfer request in their records. To think something so trivial could be dealt with quickly... I was so wrong.

Performance
Very high quality precious image! HD movie came to life! Viewing angle is unbelievable. Screen images are sharper and vivid. I was never fond of TN panel. HD Videos looks so sharper; you cannot compare this to other screens.

Flip the device around to the left, and you have two USB ports, and an xD/SD/MS/MMC card reader. Another two USB ports can be found underneath the panel on the rear, along with the bevy of video inputs: HDMI, DisplayPort, two DVI ports, VGA, component and composite. There's even a 3.5mm audio out jack here, for pushing out audio you've got feeding in through HDMI, either to a speaker system or to Dell's optional soundbar which can be mounted under and powered by the monitor.
The whites of the monitor have that typical Dell sear-out-your-retina brightness, but images and text are vibrant and text is easy to read. The monitor uses an H-IPS panel, which boasts superior viewing angles and color gamut over the TN panels that are used in most LCD monitors.
