Title:

Excellent touch screen. Great value.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I've been looking around for a touch screen monitor, and most offerings in the market were either over priced or poor quality. Until I came across this Dell ST2220T.
Great specs, full HD LED, touch screen, speakers, extra USB ports - everything I wanted in a monitor.
Display quality is excellent. Pictures and colour are simply wonderful, crisp and sharp.
Touch screen was multi-touch and responsive. I downloaded the Windows Touch Pack and the apps in the were pretty good for demonstrating touch screen capabilities. That said, there are not too many applications which makes use of this touch screen capabilities.
I think the real use for touch screens will happen when Windows 8 is released. At the moment, I'm playing with this application called Rainmeter + Omnimo theme which gives me a Windows 8 look and feel with live tiles. Not bad.
I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a good quality touch screen monitor. Cheap and good.

Nice Panel!

Yes, I would recommend this product
Was choosing between this and U2311H budget IPS panel.
Took this since HDMI input was not available for U2311H, wanted to try the touch input since I'll be buying a Windows tablet at a later date.
After receiving my monitor, the first thing I did was to let it warm up then proceeded to have it calibrated. As what other review sites has noted, the default calibration is good.
Thankfully, my panel came perfect with 0 dead pixels.
Running a TN side by side with this IPS panel, the difference in image clarity is simply amazing. Not going to go deeper into the comparison since other review sites are much more detailed.
One thing that did surprise me is the touch input of this panel.
Checked many reviews and almost all of them criticized about the input lag of this panel and how bad touch is under Win7 but mine don't seem to have this problem at all, touch under Win7 is a different issue.
I'll have to agree to a certain extent, anything at the edges is hard to touch cos the panel is sunk in, the frame edge will get in the way.
Pointing(selection) is on par with an ipad but scrolling is a tad poorer. App support for touch is the bigger problem.
For the fun of it, I tried handwriting with my fingers and wow, it's really accurate and much more intuitive than the old WinCE OS.
I do really like the touch input and can share much more experiences but I'll stop here cos at the end of the day, no matter how fun it is, I'm still sticking with the KB & mouse combo.
I'm not going to have all the fingerprints on the panel I do photo editing on.
For the price, it's definitely a good buy but if you don't have a need for HDMI, going with the lower priced yet larger display U2311H will be a better choice.
Might be having fun with the touch when I replace my other TN (on 2 monitor setup) with another IPS!
Pros:photo editing, general stuff
