Adequate Presentation System

Yes, I would recommend this product
I've had this A840 for almost three years now, and it still performs well. Never needed extra cooling fans to keep this thing from overheating. Battery failed on its second year, but I guess that's how long it lasts. I might get a replacement battery soon.
Pros:
- performs well when it comes to basic computing tasks, like encoding data and creating presentations
- runs computer games well, but not on full settings
- backlight not too bright, nor too dim

Yes, I would recommend this product
This is a good notebook.
Pros:
- nice design.
- integrated bluetooth, wifi, and modem.
- after sales services is good.

- USB port is only 2, and the place is not good (only left side).

I think, the laptop is a very good value for money.
Pros
Light weight. Nice keyboard. Matt finish lcd screen which is very nice. and a shiny back!:)

only 1GB RAM(upgrade recommended), only 2 USB ports. should have had multi-color leds. Delivery time was 2 weeks! I mean c'mon, laptops get outdated in 2 weeks now a days!

Laptop gets heated up sometimes. Laptop is not very sturdy, especially when I lift is with one hand I can hear clicks near the DVD drive.
Overall, I think, there isnt a better value for money laptop available in the market right now.
I'm definitly buying another 1 very soon.

Yes, I would recommend this product
Just got the A840. It's a nice notebook, having all the necessary stuff: good CPU, DVD burner, wifi and BT. It lacks the built-in webcam and has no multimedia keys.
Pros: Its price is the lowest, but it does not feel like cheap . It has a nice design. Keyboard is ok, good non-glare display. Works fine.
Cons: Mouse pad gets very hot when working. The battery is only 4-cell, an there is no option for bigger one. The led indicators are all blue, I'm used to some color diversity. The lid closing hooks are protruding and might be broken.
Overall it's a nice notebook with low price and good performance.

Yes, I would recommend this product
the a 840 is really good in terms of pricing and features but the usb ports are only two and their placing is very poor one upon another
the speaker is of worst kind i haave ever encountered
my friend has a compaq laptop 3 yrs old with altec lansing speakers and his lappy volume is 7 times more than mine lappy
but as far as pricing is concerned its okay
but else the machine rocks
