Pros: Lightweight, good battery life (a realistic 5+ hours), quiet operation, lots of USB ports, good value for the money. Very pleased.
Cons: Would have liked to be able to configure/purchase it with an SSD or different operating system (Ubuntu, for example). The preconfigured combinations offered aren't always ideal. I'll probably substitute an after market SSD. I'd also prefer the option from Dell of a "clean" OS install without any trial software included. (Not holding my brreath.)
Review: I replaced my older, but still very reliable, Vostro V13 with this system. I particularly like the compact, lightweight form factor. (I don't miss a CD/DVD drive at all now that USB keys are available in larger sizes.) Perfect as a travel computer for web browsing, e-mail and some light duty office application computing. Highly recommended.
Pros:business, Travel, general computing

Hello VancouverPaul,
Thank you for your review of the Vostro 3360! It's great to hear that you are enjoying your new system!
I understand that our online sales configurator can be challenging at times. I wanted to offer you a tip for future reference: I find it easier to narrow my search when I am looking for specific hardware on a system to use the "Refine Your Search" function on the website. You can find this by selecting Small & Medium Business → Vostro Laptops (under Systems) → then you will see the "Refine Your Search" options on the left hand side. From there you can narrow down systems that currently have SSD's or even Ubuntu as an option.
Again, thank you for your feedback, and have a great day – Gina.

Yes, I would recommend this product
light, sleek design, long battery life, easy to carry. Work best with 8GB memory!
I can't recommend this laptop highly enough. It's good looking, lightweight and was delivered within 3 days of ordering. Pros: Lightweight, good looking, good performance and all round use, excellent audio, USB3 with powershare, good display, great keyboard, superb price. Cons: I would have liked the option of ordering an SSD. Apart from that it's an excellent machine. I know I sound like a work for DELL but I'm just really impressed with this laptop at this price.
Pros:software development, work, Travel

TimmyM,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the Dell Vostro 3360!
We value your feedback and will use it to improve our products and services in the future. I'm glad you are happy with your purchase.
Pros: Form factor. Very compact and lightweight for an entry level business laptop. Plenty of I/O options including VGA which is getting harder to find on new laptops.
Cons: Wireless networking!!! Sometimes I have to disable/enable wifi 3 or more times to get it to recognize my home network, but once it finally connects it is fine. Another weakness is the keyboard. I have to change the way I type in order to avoid "key bounce" which is unwanted duplication of letters. You almost have to make a point of holding each key down for a moment rather than tapping them like I would normally.
All in all the laptop generally works well and provides a great form factor at the price I was looking for so I would recommend this product despite the annoyances.
Pros:schoolwork, web browsing, light gaming

Hey Garret31,
I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the design and hardware features on the Dell Vostro 3360. As you mentioned, this laptop is a great choice for an entry-level business system.
You can adjust some settings in Windows to help with your "key bounce" concern. -Go to Start > Control Panel > Keyboard. -Under Keyboard Properties, select the Speed tab. -You will then be able to adjust the Repeat Delay and the Repeat rate. -Make the Repeat Delay longer and the Repeat Rate slower. You may want to play around with these settings until you are completely comfortable with the performance.
As for your wireless networking concern, I recommend that you reach out to one of our Online Support Teams so that we may accurately identify any causes and possible solutions for you.

Yes, I would recommend this product
A nice, light, thin, sturdy laptop comparable to an ultrabook. Keyboard may take some getting used to (keys are unusually light, not a bad thing); Touchpad is good.
It runs at a very decent speed.
Pros:university, home use

Hello AlbertX,
Thank you for sharing your experience with your new Vostro 3360! This is a fantastic machine and we are glad that you are enjoying it.
Again, thank you for your feedback, and have a great day – Gina.
I just received my laptop last week, and so far I really like it. It's very slim, lightweight, look good and it feel well built & very solide. The i5 CPU perform very well, the image quality is quit good & I'm very impress with the sound of those tiny speakers. At that price, you can't go wrong. Like I said I only had it for a week, but no cons so far.
Pros:business, Travel
