Yes, I would recommend this product
Nice value-for-money laptop. Not difficult to carry around, and the screen is of adequate size. Can sit on your lap and not burn it despite the ATI graphics.
Good performance with Vista, though let down by a slow hard drive. 2 hr 30 mins backup with normal use (wi-fi off). Useful charge cut-off button helps extend battery service life. Nice keyboard but very small touchpad.
The only major grouse is with the on-board speaker. Mono sound is OK in a laptop, but at least it should be audible. The speaker is practically useless in all situations. Keep headphones at hand all the time.
Pros:general use- browsing document preparation etc.

Yes, I would recommend this product
One time i need to used it as backup system. But i found this product is great. And one most important for me, that this system still support Windows XP, as main OS for me to work. The quality of internal speaker not realy important for me. Bundled with enough memory and harddrive.

i have bought dell vostro 1088 in this month.it's fabulus product by dell.ireally appreciate this product,fantastic graphics power,it runs all games due to graphic card present in it.I heartly recommends dell vostro 1088 to all who prefer work,fun,graphic power.

although it's been less than a month of buying vostro 1088,but from performance point of view its great to have.the main feature of it,i.e.,the graphic power that its having is definitely the attraction to it.for IT professionals,it is a great companion to have.and nothing to say about the price.altogether,it's a value for money product i must say.
