A Powerful desktop!

Yes, I would recommend this product
I wanted a desktop that could run couple of VMs in parallel for testing purposes. This applies to both HyperV and VmWare Workstation VMs. This is proving to be an amazing machine.
I have a triple boot system with Windows 7, Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 2012 in place.
Works smoothly! With a 16 GB RAM and i7-3770 processor config that i have, I can easily run 4-5 VMs at a time.

PROS:
1. Bunch of ports.
2. Both USB 2 & 3 are on front and back.
3. Panel is easy to open.
4. Enough RAM for small businesses like mine.
5. Supports the kernel mode debugging via USB 2 in Windows. Good stuff for Windows driver developers.
6. Relatively quiet even when pushed to the limits with processing tasks.
7. RAID option is available.

CONS:
1. Adding a HDD requires a caddy. Extra caddy is not shipped by default.
2. Lack of IEEE 1394 port. But ok since it supports USB 2 debugging method.

From my experience with the desktop, I can safely say that this is a solid machine which can be trusted to give good performance and is reliable.

Didnt work from Day one

No, I do not recommend this product.
I ordered this computer a little over 2 weeks ago. From the very first time I plugged it in, it would not work. So far the customer service has sent out 2 service techs to my office. Neither one could even get the screen to turn on. So far Dell has sent me a brand new unit that still doesnt work, replaced the hard drive 3 times, and the media card 2 times. I have also spent over 10 hours of my time on the phone with 1 person or another. I will compliment the customer service representatives on their eargerness to help me. They have all been very nice and apologetic, but all I really want is for my BRAND NEW Computer to turn on!! Not one of them has been able to figure out what is wrong. In conclusion, I have owned 5 Dell computers over the last 15 years. In the past I have been very happy with Dell and loyal to the brand, but after this last purchase, I will never order a Dell computer again.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I have been buying Precisions for 3 years, and besides the shell, performance is about the same as my T1600. Dell is adding USB 3.0, but that is a minor improvement. My T1600 works well and so does the T1650 after 1 month.

Not a reliable product

No, I do not recommend this product.
My boss bought this product for us in the lab.We just installed some normal softwares on it,just like Word,Adobe,etc.However it almost crash down everyday!Furtermore every time after crash,you even can not restart it!Sometimes its fun just went crazy but nothing else!You have to cut off and plug out everything then restart it!It's so wired!!It's not a reliable product at all!So disappoint me!Not mention a workstation,it's much worse than my old laptop!I'll never buy a dell's product again!

I BOUGHT THIS SYSTEM ONE WEEK BACK AND THE PERFORMANCE IS UN IMAGINABLE AND WE CAN REALLY FEEL THE POWER OF THIRD GENERATION INTEL PROCESSOR . I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I OWNED A T1650 WORK STATION.
Pros:as my workstation to store my main files .
