Our company does a LOT of installations in nasty environments and we've found that this computer is a perfect fit for our needs.
It's difficult to find a readily available computer that is semi-rugged, yet doesn't cost a fortune.
We have used these in dusty, dirty, and high temperature environments with great success. We recently had a forklift demolish one. We were able to replace the computer at a minimal cost within a very short time span.
High availability, low cost, and rugged enough to withstand some pretty nasty environments.
Great solution for us and our customers.

XE System

No, I do not recommend this product.
The XE I received has either a bad CPU fan or bad motherboard. I am leaning toward the motherboard. I haven't been able to get the right part from Dell so far. They sent me a hard drive fan instead. Other than that I didn't like the case, it really limits adding expansion cards and is not intuitive on taking the hard drive or CD drive out. I would prefer a mini tower configuration availability.

Overall a good system if you need to run in a hot/dusty environment, but be aware that it not only doesn't ship with server OSes, but actually doesn't support them. Windows Server 2003 blue-screens during install; Server 2008 installed, but was oddly flaky. Dell Support confirmed that the server OSes are not supported, and thus there are no appropriate RAID drivers and the like. Disappointing on that front.
